INJURIES

Undergoes surgery on Achilles Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters Monday that Washington successfully underwent Achilles tendon surgery, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Impact Washington landed on injured reserve in late September due to what was initially listed as an ankle injury, but it's an Achilles injury that the 2020 fifth-rounder is rehabbing from. The injury isn't a tear, and while a timetable for his recovery hasn't been shared by the Ravens, Harbaugh relayed that a return for Washington is not "imminent." John Jenkins will continue to work in an elevated role on the defensive line for as long as Washington is sidelined.

Impact Washington was placed on Baltimore's injured reserve list after Week 3 versus Detroit due to an ankle injury, and now he'll be getting surgery to address the issue. Coach John Harbaugh said Tuesday that he doesn't know how it will impact his recovery timeline. Until he's back in football shape, John Jenkins should be expected to continue to see increased work on the defensive line.

Won't play Sunday Washington (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Chiefs.
Impact The 28-year-old was unable to practice all week due to an ankle injury, so it's no surprise that he'll be sidelined Sunday. Washington has tallied four total tackles and one pass defended across the Ravens' first three games this season. In his absence, Aeneas Peebles is expected to see increased reps on Baltimore's defensive line.

Starts five games in 2024 Washington racked up 21 tackles (nine solo), including 2.0 sacks, across 15 appearances (five starts) with Baltimore in 2024. He also had two passes defensed and one forced fumble.
Impact Washington has two years remaining on his deal with the Ravens, though the team has a potential 'out' for only $1.85 million after the 2025 season. The 2020 fifth-round pick doesn't boast the production to be be considered a reliable fantasy asset in IDP formats, but he's got a fair path to reprising a starting role on defense for the 2025 campaign.
JANUARY 24 • ROTOWIRE
Picks up sack in loss Washington recorded three tackles (three solo) including a sack and a forced fumble during Sunday's 24-19 loss versus the Eagles.
Impact Neither Washington's sack nor his forced fumble had any sway on the outcome of Sunday's contest, but they'll help bolster his overall stats in what has been a respectable season thus far. He'll remain locked into a starting role after Baltimore's bye in Week 14.

Past knee issue Washington (knee) was a full participant during Thursday's practice, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Washington has missed the Ravens' last two games due to a knee issue. He was limited in Wednesday's session, and his ability to practice without restrictions Thursday bodes well for his chances of playing against the Browns on Sunday. Washington has logged four tackles across five regular-season games this year.
OCTOBER 24, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Downgraded to out for Monday Washington (knee) was downgraded to out for Monday night's game against the Bucs.
Impact Washington was initially listed as doubtful, so he was never expected to play versus Tampa Bay. The fifth-year defensive lineman will miss his second straight contest after logging four tackles (zero solo) across 39 percent of the defensive snaps the first five weeks of the season.
