B.J. Hill - NFL News, Rumors, & Updates

Full participant Wednesday Hill (Achilles) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.

Impact Hill missed three consecutive games with an Achilles injury he suffered in the Bengals' Week 1 win over the Buccaneers. Wednesday's full session is the first the defensive tackle has logged since sustaining the injury, meaning there is a strong chance Hill will be able to suit up for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

OCTOBER 8 • ROTOWIRE

Missing another contest Hill (Achilles) is inactive for Sunday's clash against the Jaguars.

Impact Hill will miss his third straight game after suffering an Achilles injury in Week 1. He did manage a limited practice session Friday after beginning the week with a pair of DNPs, so he may be ready to start ramping up toward a return. Kris Jenkins may continue to log more defensive reps Sunday in Hill's stead.

OCTOBER 4 • ROTOWIRE

Won't play against Pittsburgh Hill (Achilles) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Impact Hill drew the doubtful tag after not practicing during Week 3 prep, and the veteran defensive tackle will not be on the Bengals' active roster for Sunday's AFC North tilt. His next chance to play is Week 4 against the Jaguars on Sunday, Oct. 4.

SEPTEMBER 27 • ROTOWIRE

Officially inactive Hill (Achilles) is inactive Week 2 against the Texans.

Impact Hill was on the field for 41 percent of Cincinnati's defensive snaps in Week 1 against Tampa Bay but didn't record a tackle or any counting stat. He only appeared in a limited fashion on Thursday during the practice week, which set the stage for his inactive status. He'll look to return Week 3 against Pittsburgh.

Looks to return soon Hill (undisclosed) was practicing with the rehab team in helmet and pads Sunday, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Impact Hill's return to helmet and pads may mean he is on the cusp of being cleared to return from the active/PUP list. The defensive tackle has been absent with an unknown injury since late July, and a return to padded practice is a good sign as to where he is in his recovery.

Dexter Lawrence Trade Grades: Why Big Move Could Have Huge Payoff for Giants, Bengals

Totals 4.0 sacks in 2025 Hill recorded 66 tackles (29 solo), including 4.0 sacks, across 17 regular-season appearances in 2025.

Impact Hill tallied the second-highest tackle total of his career while suiting up for all 17 of Cincinnati's regular-season games in 2025. The 30-year-old veteran has two more years remaining on his contract with the Bengals, though the team has a potential 'out' this offseason for only $7.3 million in dead cap.

Suiting up Sunday Hill (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Browns.

Impact After not practicing Wednesday or Thursday, Hill logged a limited session Friday and will continue his perfect attendance during the 2025 campaign. In 16 games, Hill has recorded 58 tackles (25 solo), including 3.0 sacks.

JANUARY 4 • ROTOWIRE

Questionable with ankle Hill (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Browns.

Impact Hill upgraded to a limited participant in Friday's practice after missing Wednesday and Thursday's sessions. The defensive tackle has yet to miss a game this year despite battling a persistent ankle injury since Dec. 17, so his chances to suit up Sunday are quite high. If the 30-year-old must miss the last game of the season, McKinnley Jackson would likely see an increased amount of defensive snaps at defensive tackle alongside T.J. Slaton.

JANUARY 2 • ROTOWIRE

DNP to open Week 18 prep Hill (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

Impact Hill has managed to play through an ankle injury during each of the Bengals' last two games, accruing four tackles (two solo) over that span. He'll have two more chances to return to practice this week, but given his ability to play Weeks 16 and 17, he should be available for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Browns.

DECEMBER 31, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Will play vs. Arizona Hill (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

Impact Hill has been working through an ankle injury over the past two weeks, but the veteran defensive lineman has been able to play through the issue. He has logged 20 tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, in the six games since the Bengals' Week 10 bye.

DECEMBER 28, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Questionable to face Cardinals Hill (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Arizona, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.

Impact Hill began Week 17 prep listed as a non-participant at practice Wednesday and Thursday, but he managed to upgrade to limited reps Friday. The veteran defensive tackle's status will be made official no later than 90 minutes in advance of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

DECEMBER 26, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

DNP Wednesday Hill (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.

Impact Hill missed consecutive practices to start Week 16 due to his ankle issue, but was able to upgrade to a limited participant Friday and play in last Sunday's win over the Dolphins. If the same timeline is to be assumed for the veteran defensive tackle, he is likely on pace to play in Sunday's contest against the Cardinals.

DECEMBER 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Good to go Week 16 Hill (ankle) is active for Sunday's battle against Miami.

Impact Hill began Week 16 prep with consecutive DNPs due to an ankle injury, but he was able to log a limited session Friday. That will be enough for him to take the field Sunday and avoid missing his first game of the campaign. Hill should thus be able to take on his usual starting role along the defensive line, which typically leads to a defensive snap share between 60 and 80 percent.

DECEMBER 21, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Questionable for Sunday Hill (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Impact Hill managed to log a limited practice Friday, which constituted his only practice participation of the week. The defensive tackle played just 25 snaps in last Sunday's loss to the Ravens, indicating the fresh ankle injury may have had something to do with his absence. With just one limited practice under his belt it is unclear if the 30-year-old will be able to suit up. If Hill is unable to play, McKinnley Jackson and Jordan Jefferson would be in line for an increased defensive snap share in Sunday's contest.

DECEMBER 19, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Dealing with ankle injury Hill (ankle) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

Impact Hill played a season-low 25 defensive snaps in Week 15 versus the Ravens, and now his availability for Week 16 is in jeopardy due to a problem with his ankle. He'll probably have to return to practice Thursday or Friday to have any chance of playing Sunday at Miami.

DECEMBER 18, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Notches sack in Week 1 Hill tallied seven total tackles (three solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Browns.

Impact The 30-year-old defensive lineman had an incredibly influential sack on Joe Flacco in the fourth quarter of Sunday's win, as that six-yard loss led to a missed field-goal from Andre Szmyt that would have given the Browns the lead. Hill remained productive throughout the Bengals' Week 1 win, logging seven total stops while playing on just 61-percent of the team's defensive snaps. He's expected to continue wreaking havoc on opposing offenses as the Bengals take on the Jaguars in Week 2.

SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Full go for Week 1 Hill (foot) did not appear on the Bengals' injury report Wednesday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

Impact Hill was dealing with a foot injury throughout training camp and the preseason, but he is now all set to play in Sunday's regular-season opener against Cleveland. The 30-year-old is expected to operate as one of the team's starters at defensive tackle to open the 2025 campaign.
