Atlanta Falcons Player News: All Positions

News: Clayborn (knee) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice session, Jason Butt of The Athletic reports.
Impact: The 31-year-old defensive end briefly exited Sunday's loss to the Cardinals due to injury, but was able to return to action and field 42 percent of the defensive snaps in total. Clayborn has one sack through six games, as the Falcons are tied with Miami for an NFL-worst five team sacks. Looking forward to Week 7, Atlanta's front seven will face a Rams offensive line that was exposed by the 49ers on Sunday, allowing four sacks and only facilitating a 3.6 yards-per-carry average for the team's busiest ball-carrier Malcolm Brown.
News: Brown (knee) was a full participant during Wednesday's practice, Jason Butt of The Athletic reports.
Impact: On Sunday the veteran guard made his return from a concussion suffered late in the Week 4 loss to Tennessee, and again sustained an injury, hurting his knee late in the third quarter. Brown was able to get back on the field for the fourth quarter, but the offensive line surrendered multiple sacks for the third straight game as Atlanta dropped to a 1-5 record on the season. His return to practice is a positive indicator that he will be able to play in Week 7 when the Falcons face off against a Rams defense that intends to infuse recently-acquired Jalen Ramsey into the lineup immediately.
News: Allen (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Impact: Allen played through a lingering knee injury Week 6 versus the Cardinals, compiling five tackles (two solo) while suiting up for 100 percent of snaps on defense. It's possible he'll be able to repeat a similar feat and play despite the issue Sunday versus the Rams. Of course, if Allen is able to upgrade to a full practice session later in the week it would put all concerns to rest.
News: McKinley (groin) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Impact: McKinley suffered a groin injury during Sunday's loss to the Cardinals, but he already appears to have put the issue behind him. Barring any setbacks, McKinley is on track to draw his usual start against the Rams in Week 7.
News: Jones was limited by a hip injury at Wednesday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports
Impact: Jones tended to the same issue last week before going off for 108 receiving yards this past Sunday at Arizona. Considering he followed a DNP/LP/LP practice regimen on that occasion, his health appears to be improving, but his status nonetheless should be monitored as the weekend approaches.
News: Trufant (toe) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Impact: The Falcons struggled to contain the Cardinals' Air Raid offense in Week 6 without Trufant, as they allowed Kyler Murray to throw for 340 yards and three scores. Trufant is trending toward another absence with a DNP on the first practice report of the week, but he still has Thursday and Friday to get on the field.
