Lands future deal
Dallas signed Callaway to a reserve/future contract Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Callaway reached an injury settlement with the Chiefs at the end of August, and after moving past a knee issue, he latched on with the Cowboys' practice squad in mid-November. He was never elevated during the regular season and hasn't seen NFL action since 2020, but with his new contract, he'll be able to stick around in Dallas' organization and compete for a roster spot during the offseason.

Signed to Cowboys' practice squad
Callaway was signed to the Cowboys' practice squad Wednesday.
Impact
After reaching an injury settlement with the Chiefs in August after suffering a knee injury, Callaway is healthy and will join the Cowboys' practice unit. The wide receiver hasn't appeared in an NFL game since 2020 and will provide Dallas with additional depth option off the active roster.

Gets injury settlement
The Chiefs waived Callaway (knee) from IR with an injury settlement Thursday, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports.
Impact
Callaway is nursing a bone bruise in his knee, but once healthy, he will be free to search for a role elsewhere this season. In five appearances with the Dolphins last season, Callaway secured two of four targets for 20 yards.

Parts ways with Kansas City
Callaway (knee) was waived/injured by the Chiefs on Tuesday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.
Impact
Callaway has been dealing with a bone bruise in his knee throughout the past week, and he's now been let go by Kansas City. The 24-year-old caught 43 passes for 586 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie for the Browns in 2018, but he's been unable to stick around anywhere over the past couple years due to off-field issues.

Not expected to play Saturday
Callaway (knee) is not expected to play in Saturday's preseason opener against the 49ers, according to Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star.
Impact
Callaway injured his knee in practice earlier this week, and it appears that will prevent him from taking the field Saturday night. It remains to be seen when Callaway will be able to rejoin the competition for a spot on the Chiefs' roster.

Still missing practice
Callaway (knee) isn't in pads or a helmet for practice again Thursday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.

Waived by Miami
The Dolphins have waived Callaway.
Impact
In five games with Miami, Callaway logged just two catches on four targets for 20 yards. The 2018 fourth-rounder could catch on elsewhere before long, but it's hard to imagine him making a fantasy impact before the close of the regular season.

Clear of injury report
Callaway (undisclosed) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against New England, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact
The 23-year-old was absent from Thursday's practice for unspecified reasons, but it won't impact his status for Sunday's divisional matchup. Callaway hasn't found much involvement in the offense since being promoted from the practice squad in mid-November with two catches for 20 yards in four games.

Missing practice time
Callaway (undisclosed) was absent from Thursday's practice, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact
The specifics of the absence are unclear but the team classified it as "not injury related." It's certainly an intriguing absence with just a few days before Sunday's game against the Patriots, so his practice status Friday will shed some more light on his chances to play. Callaway has caught just two of four targets for 20 yards this season, so his absence won't affect much from a fantasy perspective.

Sees two targets
Callaway failed to catch both of his targets during Sunday's 33-27 loss to the Chiefs.
Impact
The 23-year-old played a season-high 22 offensive snaps but was unable to offer any production. Callaway may not be a fantasy option regardless, but he could see some more opportunities Week 15 if DeVante Parker (hamstring) and Jakeem Grant (hamstring) are unable to play.

Back on active roster
The Dolphins promoted Callaway to the active roster Wednesday, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Impact
Callaway was active for the first time all season during Miami's Week 10 win over the Chargers, though he didn't ultimately handle a single snap. He figures to continue playing a reserve role as long as Preston Williams (foot) remains on IR, but at this time Callaway is firmly off the fantasy radar.
