Ready for bigger role Wesley will take on a larger role in the Arizona offense with DeAndre Hopkins undergoing knee surgery, Darren Urban of azcardinals.com reports.

Impact Wesley previously played 76-77 percent of snaps in three straight games (Weeks 9-11) when Hopkins missed time with a hamstring injury, catching seven of eight targets for 106 yards in that stretch. He'll likely continue to be targeted at a low rate on a per-snap/per-route basis, but Wesley does have a nice opportunity to pile up snaps and make an impression down the stretch.

Tallies four receptions Sunday Wesley recorded four catches (on four targets) for 44 yards during Sunday's 23-13 victory at Seattle.

Impact The Cardinals have been without top wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) for most of the past four games, and Wesley has profited as a result, earning at least 53 percent of the offensive snaps on each occasion. Wesley's production has been sporadic during that stretch, with outings of 62, 44, seven and no receiving yards. Overall, though, he's been efficient with his reps, hauling in eight of 11 targets (72.7 percent) and averaging 10.3 YPT. Arizona is on bye Week 12, so if Hopkins is back in Week 13 in Chicago, Wesley would be on the outside looking in again in a stacked receiving corps that also includes A.J. Green, Christian Kirk and Rondale Moore.

Impact Wesley missed the first two weeks of the season after testing positive for the virus ahead of the season opener. The 23-year-old spent the 2020 campaign on the Ravens' injured reserve due to a shoulder injury and still was working his way back to full strength during training camp. It's unclear what type of role he may play for Arizona's offense this season.
