Expanding role
Schwartz is expected to see his role on offense grow over the final two weeks of the season, Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. "I think for sure with Anthony comi...
Impact
Schwartz, a 2021 third-round pick, opened the season down the wideout depth chart while also being used as a returner on kickoffs, but he appeared to inch ahead of veteran Rashard Higgins prior to sustaining a concussion. He then missed three games before returning to play the previous two, although Higgins received more snaps. Schwartz scored his first touchdown last week and gives the Browns another speed element outside the numbers. It's unclear if the rookie's role will grow at the expense of Higgins or Donovan Peoples-Jones, who's been the primary downfield threat but caught just one of five targets for five yards in last week's loss to Green Bay.

Scores first NFL touchdown
Schwartz caught his lone target for a five-yard touchdown and ran twice for an additional 24 yards in Week 16's 24-22 loss to Green Bay on Saturday.
Impact
Schwartz was responsible for Cleveland's final score when he hauled in a dart from quarterback Baker Mayfield. It was his first red-zone target of the season and first touchdown in the NFL. The rookie was back in the lineup for a second consecutive game following a three-game absence due to a concussion, but he did not take on the role as kick returner, a spot he held for seven weeks prior to his concussion. Rashard Higgins has passed him on the depth chart at wideout, but there is a future for Schwartz in Cleveland.

No targets, returns in loss
Schwartz was not targeted over 13 snaps and did not return a kickoff in Monday's 16-14 loss to Las Vegas.
Impact
Schwartz returned to the lineup after missing four weeks -- three games plus a bye -- due to a concussion. He saw his playing time drop, and the rookie did not line up as a kick returner, a job he's held for seven weeks prior to his absence. The decrease in snaps and removing him from the kick-return team may be attributed to Browns wanting to ease him back on the field.

Suits up Monday
Schwartz (concussion) is listed as active for Monday's game against the Raiders, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
With fellow wideout Jarvis Landry and tight end Austin Hooper currently on the reserve/COVID 19 list, Schwartz has a chance to pick up some targets in his first game action since Week 10. However, with the likes of Donovan Peoples-Jones, Rashard Higgins and David Njoku also in the mix to catch passes from fill-in QB Nick Mullens, the speedy Schwartz -- who has put together an 8/117/0 stat line in 10 games to date -- profiles as a speculative Week 15 fantasy lineup option.

Now listed as questionable
Schwartz has cleared concussion protocol and is now listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Raiders, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact
Schwartz had initially been deemed out for the contest, which was originally scheduled for Saturday. Now he has a shot to play in Monday's 5 pm ET contest and if he's made active, the wideout could contribute to Cleveland's Week 15 passing attack alongside Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rashard Higgins, especially if Jarvis Landry isn't activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list by Monday afternoon.

Ruled out Saturday
Schwartz (concussion) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Raiders, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Impact
Schwartz was unable to clear the league's concussion protocols ahead of Week 15, and he'll be forced to miss a fourth consecutive game. Rashard Higgins and Ja'Marcus Bradley will likely see increased playing time Saturday.

Still in concussion protocols
Schwartz is still in concussion protocols Tuesday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Schwartz has been in protocols since suffering a concussion in Week 10 against the Patriots. His potential absence Saturday against the Raiders is magnified by the additions of Jarvis Landry and JoJo Natson to the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday. If Schwartz can clear protocols in time and is deemed fit enough to play, he could be looking at ample opportunity in Week 15 against Las Vegas.

Won't play Sunday
Schwartz (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Impact
Schwartz, who suffered his concussion back in Week 10, thus is slated to miss his third straight game, with his next chance to suit up being the Browns' Week 15 tilt against the Raiders on Dec. 18. In his continued absence, look for Jarvis Landry and Donovan Peoples-Jones to head the team's wideout corps this weekend, with Ja'Marcus Bradley and possibly Rashard Higgins also factoring in.

Not practicing again
Schwartz (concussion) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Impact
With consecutive absences from practice following the Browns' Week 13 bye, Schwartz doesn't appear to have any notable advancement through the NFL's concussion protocol since suffering the head injury Nov. 14 against the Patriots. Barring a dramatic step forward in his practice activity Friday, Schwartz looks set to miss a third straight game Sunday against Baltimore.

Still sidelined
Schwartz remains in the NFL's concussion protocol and won't practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Impact
Given that the Browns are coming off their bye week, it's not the best sign that Schwartz has yet to be cleared to practice. The rookie wideout still has two more chances to get back on the field for workouts prior to Sunday's game against the Ravens, but his status for that contest looks cloudy at that the moment.

Remains in concussion protocol
Schwartz (concussion) didn't practice Monday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Impact
Schwartz suffered a concussion during the Browns' Week 10 loss to the Patriots and has been sidelined since. There was optimism that the rookie wideout would be available after Cleveland's Week 13 bye, but he remains in concussion protocols and is in danger of missing his third straight game. If he is unable to clear protocols before Week 14, then Donovan Peoples-Jones, Ja'Marcus Bradley and Rashard Higgins are all candidates for added WR snaps against Baltimore.

Remains sidelined in Week 12
Schwartz (concussion) won't play Sunday night against the Ravens, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Schwartz, who also missed this past Sunday's game against the Lions, now will target a return to action following the Browns' bye week, when the team faces the Ravens again on Sunday, Dec. 12. With Schwartz out and Donovan Peoples-Jones (groin) listed as questionable, Rashard Higgins and perhaps Ja'Marcus Bradley are candidates for added WR snaps this weekend.
