Drew Ogletree - Page 3 - NFL News, Rumors, & Updates

Seemingly back to full strength Ogletree (foot) was listed as a full participant on the Colts' practice estimate Wednesday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Impact The listing would suggest Ogletree should be ready to return to action in Week 13 after sitting out of Indianapolis' last two games. He figures to continue to compete with Mo Alie-Cox for in-line reps when he comes back.

Won't travel to Frankfurt Ogletree (foot) won't play in Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Impact Ogletree will have to sit out at least one game as he recovers from the foot injury he sustained in Week 9 at Carolina. Mo Alie-Cox will likely see an uptick in snaps in Ogletree's absence.

Questionable to return Ogletree is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Panthers due to a foot injury, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Impact Ogletree reverted to a reserve role Sunday with Kylen Granson back in action. However, Ogletree still made a decent play before his exit, securing one of three targets for 19 yards. If he's unavailable down the stretch, Mo Alie-Cox could see increased snaps.

Just one reception in loss Ogletree started at tight end and had one reception for 33 yards on three targets in Sunday's loss to New Orleans.

Impact He was in the starting lineup a second consecutive game with Kylen Granson out with a concussion. Ogletree wasn't targeted in the Colts' last game despite starting, so this is an improvement. He led Indy tight ends in snaps on offense (38 of 71) and routes run (20), according to Pro Football Focus. However, Indianapolis throws few passes toward tight ends, making them not viable options for most fantasy formats.

No targets despite start Ogletree started at tight end but was not targeted in Sunday's loss to Cleveland.

Impact Ogletree started at tight end with Kylen Granson out with a concussion and Jelani Woods (hamstring) still on injured reserve. He played on 42 of the offense's 70 snaps and went out on just 17 routes. Mo Alie-Cox had the only reception among tight ends in the loss, as they were needed as blockers against Cleveland's strong pass rush. Ogletree could be more active in the passing game next week against New Orleans, but he could also get less playing time if Granson or Woods is able to return to action.

No receptions in loss Ogletree had one target but no receptions in Sunday's loss at Jacksonville.

Impact Ogletree played on just 27 of the offense's 75 snaps. He could get more work this week against Cleveland with Kylen Granson placed in the league's concussion protocol. However, the Colts continue divide the work in the passing game among multiple tight ends, giving them little fantasy value in most formats.

Moved to IR The Colts placed Ogletree (knee) on injured reserve Thursday.

Impact This transaction will officially sideline Ogletree for the entirety of his rookie season after he suffered a torn ACL during practice Wednesday. The 2022 sixth-round pick managed to turn some heads with his impressive performance during his first training camp with Indianapolis, though he will now have to turn his focus toward his recovery heading into the 2023 regular season.

Torn ACL confirmed Ogletree (knee) suffered a torn ACL during Wednesday's practice, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Impact Ogletree's injury was of the non-contact variety, which often is a worrisome sign when it comes to the severity. Indeed, the 2022 sixth-round pick has a confirmed ACL tear following an MRI, very likely ending his rookie campaign. In Ogletree's absence, the tight end competition behind starter Mo Alie-Cox includes second-year pro Kylen Granson and fellow rookie Jelani Woods, among others.

Will undergo MRI Ogletree left Wednesday's practice with a knee injury and will undergo an MRI, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Impact Per Erickson, Ogletree went down on a non-contact play, and Colts head coach Frank Reich said "it didn't look good." Ogletree has reportedly had a strong camp, but this is obviously a concerning development for the rookie sixth-round pick.

Mixed bag in preseason debut Ogletree had one reception for five yards on two targets, including a drop, but he had a 17-yard TD from Sam Ehlinger wiped out by a penalty away from the catch, Fox 59 Indianapoli...

Impact Ogletree was seen having a strong camp and moved ahead of third-round pick Jelani Woods on the depth chart, but Saturday's game was more of a mixed bag. Woods had a decent game, so the competition for the No. 3 tight end role remains in flux.

Making strong impression in camp Ogletree is moving up the depth chart, earning a good amount of starting reps in recent training camp practices, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.

Impact Ogletree is seen having a strong camp so far while Jelani Woods and Kylen Granson have struggled at times. Ogletree is a sixth-round 2022 draft pick and operates in a run-first offense, so it's hard to get too excited after a few positive practice reports. However, Mo Alie-Cox isn't an established starting tight end and others at the position don't have much experience, so Ogletree's progress this preseason is worth watching.

AUGUST 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE

Yet another TE to Indy The Colts selected Ogletree in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 192nd overall.

Impact Ogletree becomes the second tight end selected by the Colts over the last two days. The Youngstown State product did run a 4.70 40-yard dash at 260 pounds during his pro day, but he lacks agility and didn't flash the aforementioned straight-end speed on tape. Ogletree, who will be 24 by the start of the 2022 season, likely will be a special teams asset, at best, entering his rookie year.
