Impact Booth suffered the injury during the team's Week 1 contest with the Packers and was unable to return. It was reported Monday that he had a chance to return in Week 2, but his absence from practice Thursday may have him leaning closer to doubtful than questionable. However, with the Vikings not playing until Monday, Booth will have an extra day to heal.

Suffers ankle injury Booth exited Saturday's preseason game against the 49ers with an ankle injury, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Impact Booth stayed down on the field for a few minutes after suffering the injury. He was later seen limping on the sideline after being assessed in the medical tent. It's unclear how severe the issue may be, but Booth has suffered numerous lower-body injuries before reaching the NFL, including a torn PCL, quad strains and hernia issues that required surgery to repair.

Impact Booth was a standout cover man at Clemson, where he was the best cornerback on a tough Tigers pass defense. A sports hernia injury likely had something to do with him falling this far to the Vikings, and there's a good chance they'll be grateful he did. At 6-foot, 194 pounds with standout reach, Booth is a prototypical boundary corner and could emerge as Minnesota's best at the position even in his rookie year, especially if he's healthy enough to participate in all of training camp.
