INJURIES

DNP on Thursday Jeffery (foot) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.
Impact Dropping from limited Wednesday to no work Thursday is a concerning development for Jeffery, who still is getting back to full health after undergoing surgery in December to address a Lisfranc injury in his left foot. Joining Jeffery on the sideline were fellow wide receivers DeSean Jackson (hamstring), J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (calf) and John Hightower (illness). As a result, the Eagles went through practice Thursday with just one WR on the active roster (Greg Ward). Friday's injury report could clear up the situation heading into the weekend.

Not present Thursday Jeffery (foot) wasn't present during the part of Thursday's practice open to the media, Chris Franklin of NJ.com reports.
Impact There's still a chance Jeffery took the field once the session was closed to the media, but if not this could mark a downturn after he practiced in a limited capacity three times dating back to last week. The development also would add to the woes in the Eagles' receiving corps, as Greg Ward was the sole WR on the active roster to take part in the open portion of practice Thursday.

Fits in another limited practice Jeffery (foot) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
Impact Jeffery has been listed as limited on each of the Eagles' last three injury reports, but he has yet to make his season debut as he works through the final stages of rehab from surgery on a Lisfranc injury to his right foot. On Monday, coach Doug Pederson noted that Jeffery is expected to increase his workload this week, so a full showing in practice may occur Thursday or Friday. If it does, Jeffery would position himself well to suit up Sunday at San Francisco, where the Eagles could be without Jalen Reagor (thumb) and/or DeSean Jackson (hamstring).

Ready to increase activity Coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Jeffery (foot) will ramp up his activity in practice, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Impact Pederson wouldn't go as far as saying that Jeffery could make his season debut at San Francisco in Week 4, but it's nonetheless encouraging to see the veteran wideout making progress. With DeSean Jackson (hamstring) and Jalen Reagor (thumb) both banged up, and Dallas Goedert (ankle) also expected to miss time, Jeffery likely would slot into an immediate starting role if he were able to get healthy in time to face the 49ers. The 30-year-old took part in his first practice of the season last Thursday, albeit as a limited participant.

Eagles’ Alshon Jeffery won’t play, no decision yet on Fletcher Cox vs. Bengals Coach Doug Pederson said the big-bodied Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver won't return just yet.
SEPTEMBER 25, 2020 • PENNLIVE.COM
Out again Week 3 Coach Doug Pederson ruled out Jeffery (foot) for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Daniel Gallen of The Harrisburg Patriot-News reports.
Impact Pederson expressed optimism about the 30-year-old's availability within the next couple weeks, but he won't be available against Cincinnati. Jeffery took part in his first practice of the season as a limited participant Thursday, so it's not much of a surprise he's not immediately ready for game action. DeSean Jackson, Greg Ward and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside are likely to serve as Philadelphia's top-three wideouts this week since Jalen Reagor (thumb) underwent thumb surgery Thursday.

Philadelphia Eagles injury update: DT Fletcher Cox misses another day of practice, WR Alshon Jeffery returns The Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle missed practice for the second straight day, but a number of key contributors returned.
SEPTEMBER 24, 2020 • PENNLIVE.COM
Officially limited in practice The Eagles listed Jeffery (foot) as a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Impact Per Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Jeffery took part in team and individual drills while donning a helmet, marking his first practice activity since he suffered a Lisfranc injury to his right foot last December. Given his lengthy layoff from surgery, Jeffery is more likely than not to remain inactive for the Eagles' Week 3 matchup with the Bengals, but the Eagles will wait and see what he's able to do Friday before making a call on his status. Whenever he's cleared to play, Jeffery's eventual return to action should bolster an Eagles wideout corps that recently lost Jalen Reagor (thumb), who is expected to miss multiple weeks after undergoing surgery Thursday.

Takes first practice reps of 2020 Jeffery (foot) returned to practice Thursday, Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Impact Making his long-awaited presence felt on the field, Jeffery went through individual drills during the portion of Thursday's session open to the media. It marks his first activity since sustaining a Lisfranc sprain in his right foot last Dec. 9, which resulted in surgery and a lengthy rehab process. Jeffery may need to find his bearings before the Eagles allow him to return to action, but getting some action now, no matter how much, opens the door for his first game action of the 2020 season. Thursday's injury report will reveal how much work Jeffery was able to handle.
SEPTEMBER 24, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
No practice Wednesday Jeffery (foot) was held out of practice Wednesday, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports.
Impact Jeffery has yet to practice since sustaining a Lisfranc injury in his right foot last Dec. 9 that eventually required surgery. Both DeSean Jackson and rookie Jalen Reagor seemed to be a non-participants as well, leaving just Greg Ward, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and John Hightower as the available wide receivers to kick off Week 3 prep.

The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs are without three starters on defense against the Los Angeles Chargers
SEPTEMBER 20, 2020 • Associated Press
Officially ruled out for Week 2 Jeffery (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Impact Jeffery still hasn't returned to practice, so a Week 3 appearance against the Bengals doesn't seem too likely. The Eagles rotated wide receivers in a Week 1 loss at Washington, with five different players getting 27 or more snaps.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Held out again Thursday Jeffery (foot) didn't practice Thursday.
Impact Jeffery again was a non-participant, hurting his chances of making his season debut Sunday versus the Rams. In the end, he should be considered week-to-week in the early part of the season until he gets back on the practice field. The Eagles will rely on DeSean Jackson, Greg Ward, Jalen Reagor, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and John Hightower at wide receiver in the meantime.
SEPTEMBER 17, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Misses another practice Jeffery (foot) was a non-participant in Wednesday's practice.
Impact Jeffery has yet to practice in any capacity this season, and he looks to be trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's contest against the Rams. When the veteran wideout becomes available, he should step into a starting role alongside DeSean Jackson, but the Eagles have yet to announce a clear timeline for Jeffery's return to action.

SEPTEMBER 13, 2020 • Associated Press
Not playing Sunday Jeffery (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Washington.
Impact Jeffery avoided the PUP list to begin the season, but he has yet to take the practice field and seems poised to miss the Eagles' first handful of games. In his absence, the Eagles will rely on DeSean Jackson and Jalen Reagor (shoulder) to man wide receiver.
SEPTEMBER 11, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Sits out for third day in a row Jeffery (foot) did not take part in Friday's practice, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Impact Jeffery did not get in any practice time this week, which makes it unlikely he'll take the field Week 1. The Eagles will reveal whether or not Jeffery has any chance to play in Sunday's season opener when they release their injury report at the close of Friday's session.
