Chargers' Kelley, Eagles' Sanders among best bets to score

It’s Week 3 of the fantasy football season, and these are the top five best bets to score at the running back and wide receiver positions
SEPTEMBER 23, 2020 • Associated Press
Misses practice Wednesday Brown (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.
Impact Brown, who's dealing with a bone bruise in his knee, sat out the Titans' Week 2 win over the Jaguars, and it's unclear if he'll be back in time to suit up this weekend against the Vikings. In Brown's absence last weekend, Corey Davis and Adam Humphries headed the Titans' wide receiver corps, while Cameron Batson and Kalif Raymond saw added work at the position.

Won't play Sunday Coach Mike Vrabel relayed Friday that Brown (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact A bone bruise in his knee is the reason Brown will sit out Week 2 action, and possibly more. In his absence, Corey Davis (hamstring) -- health permitting -- and Adam Humphries will head the team's wide receiver corps Sunday, with Kalif Raymond and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine also in the mix for snaps.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Absent from early part of practice Brown (knee) wasn't spotted during the early portion of Friday's practice, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.
Impact A bone bruise in his knee has Brown looking iffy for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, and he could be ruled out for Week 2 action as soon as Friday afternoon. If he's inactive or limited this weekend, added targets would be available for both Corey Davis (hamstring) and Adam Humphries, with Kalif Raymond and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine also in the mix.

Dealing with bone bruise A bone bruise in his knee is "jeopardizing (Brown's) availability for Sunday's game against the Jaguars and possibly beyond," according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Impact Per Schefter, Brown, who didn't practice Thursday, is likely to be week-to-week with the issue. If the wideout is indeed forced to miss time, added looks in the Titans' passing game would be available for the likes of Corey Davis (hamstring) and Adam Humphries.
SEPTEMBER 17, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
No practice Thursday Brown (knee) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
Impact The knee issue rendered Brown a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, so it's somewhat concerning to see the second-year wideout take a step backward with regard to his activity a day later. He'll have another chance to get back on the field Friday, but if he fails to put in a full workout, Brown will likely carry a designation into Sunday's game against Jacksonville. Corey Davis (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's session, so both of the Titans' top receivers are banged up heading into the Week 2 matchup.

Receiver Darius Slayton finding end zone again for Giants

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton is picking up where he left off at the end of his rookie season
SEPTEMBER 16, 2020 • Associated Press
Limited with knee injury Brown (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Brown appears to have picked up a knee injury during Monday's win over the Broncos, during which he was held to 39 receiving yards while taking a backseat in the passing game to fellow wideout Corey Davis. With Davis not practicing to begin the week due to a hamstring injury, Brown could end up in position to draw increased targets Sunday against Jacksonville's inexperienced secondary, assuming he can move past his own knee issue.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Not spotted Wednesday Brown wasn't on the field for the early portion of Wednesday's practice, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
Impact The Titans' first practice report of the week will be released later Wednesday, at which point the exact extent of Brown's participation will be revealed. Given that the wideout is just two days removed from Monday's win over the Broncos, he could simply be receiving a rest day.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Plays second fiddle in MNF opener Brown hauled in five of eight targets for 39 receiving yards during Monday's 16-14 win against the Broncos.
Impact Monday night's performance was a severe dropoff from Brown's average fantasy output over the latter stages of 2019, as he averaged 100.9 receiving yards per game with five total touchdowns Weeks 12 through 17 of last year. Against Denver, it was instead Corey Davis who enjoyed the bulk of the wide receiver production with 101 yards on seven catches, while Adam Humphries pitched in with six catches and 47 yards of his own. Brown doesn't exactly need double-digit targets to be fantasy relevant, however, as his 12.5 yards per target was better than any player in the NFL during 2019. Chalk up his ho-hum performance to a matchup against a Vic Fangio defense that ranked top 12 against the pass last year. A Week 2 matchup against the Jaguars' inexperienced secondary may be just what the doctor ordered in regard to Brown's fantasy outlook.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Avoids Week 1 injury report The Titans don't list Brown (undisclosed) on the initial Week 1 injury report the team released Thursday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Tennessee had been managing Brown's reps as recently as last week after he suffered what was believed to be a minor injury in an Aug. 28 session, but his absence from this week's injury report confirms that he's moved past the issue. After averaging an impressive 12.5 yards on 84 targets as a rookie, Brown may struggle to maintain that level of efficiency in 2020, but he should be able to make up for any downturn by taking on more overall volume in the Tennessee passing game. That said, a run-oriented Titans offense headlined by reigning NFL rushing champion Derrick Henry may limit Brown's target count relative to some of the other No. 1 receivers around the league.
