Brings home points in Qatar Tsunoda finished 10th in the Qatar Grand Prix F1 race at Lusail International Circuit on Sunday.
Impact The best part of Tsunoda's weekend came during the sprint. He qualified ahead of teammate Max Verstappen by .01 seconds to start fourth and then held onto fifth place -- only ceding a spot to Verstappen--to bring home four points. However, as has typically been the case, inconsistency plagued Tsunoda as he was bounced in Q1 in the race portion of the weekend. He rebounded to bring home another point after gaining some track position on the opening lap. It was later announced that Tsunoda will not have a seat at either Red Bull or Racing Bulls in 2026.

Team mistake dooms weekend Tsunoda finished 14th in the Las Vegas Grand Prix F1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday.
Impact Tsunoda was a non-factor throughout the weekend, though it wasn't his fault. His tires during qualifying had too much pressure, a mistake Red Bull took responsibility for -- causing him to be eliminated in Q1. While Tsunoda suffered from bad luck, he's still failed to record points in four of his last five race weekends as his grip on a seat in F1 remains unclear for 2026.

Bad timing for poor weekend Tsunoda finished 17th at the Brazilian Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda is fighting for an F1 seat in 2026 and had some momentum heading into the Brazilian Grand Prix. However, the weekend went poorly from start to finish, as he was eliminated in Q1 for both the sprint and race. Tsunoda then picked up a 10-second penalty on the opening lap of the race, dooming any chance of a recovery drive. This wasn't the weekend Tsunoda needed, and he'll look to regain his form in Las Vegas.

Crash in Sao Paulo GP Practice Tsunoda crashed in FP1 for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Interlagos Circuit on Friday.
Impact In the opening minutes of this lone practice this weekend in Brazil, the Red Bull Racing veteran would find trouble. Tsunoda would lose control in the Descida do Lago complex and crash hard into the barriers. There would be damage to both the front and the rear of Tsunoda's car but he would manage to get the car back to the pit lane. Extensive repairs were necessary and Tsunoda's practice would be abruptly halted. He'll look to rebound in Sprint qualifying later Friday afternoon.

Narrowly misses points Tsunoda finished 11th in the Mexico City Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda started 11th on the grid, narrowly missing out on Q3 by one tenth of a second. He pushed his way into points during the first stint of the race, but a nine-second pit stop ended his chance for points. Tsunoda is fighting for his future in F1 and is stringing together some of his better finishes of the season, finishing 11th or better in four of his last six races while nabbing points on three occasions in that span.

Showing more consistency Tsunoda finished seventh in the United States Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday.
Impact The pace of the Red Bull has improved since the summer break. While Tsunoda is still well off pace of teammate Max Verstappen, he has found consistency in his results by finishing 10th or better in three of his last five races. He was also one of the bigger movers up the field, as he qualified poorly to begin 13th on the grid. He had a strong first lap to get into points and used strategy to his advantage to earn some solid points. Tsunoda also finished seventh in the sprint, giving him one of his better weekends of the season.

Slips to 12th Tsunoda finished 12th in the Singapore Grand Prix F1 race at Marina Bay Street Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda had pace in the early practice sessions, but saw things devolve as the weekend progressed. He finished eight-tenths of a second off the pace of teammate Max Verstappen in Q2 to start 13th on the grid. During the race, he was stuck in midfield traffic and was unable to make much progress through the field. Despite the poor showing in Singapore, Tsunoda has shown a slight uptick in form by finishing in the points in half of his four races since returning from the summer break.

Best finish with Red Bull Tsunoda finished sixth in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix F1 race at the Baku City Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda tallied points in his second consecutive race and recorded his best finish of the season. He did the majority of his work Saturday, when he qualified sixth on the grid, albeit one second off the pace of Max Verstappen, his Red Bull teammate. During the race, Tsunoda was stuck in a train of cars on a largely uneventful day, though he was unable to pass rival Liam Lawson on the opening stint.

Damage undoes race Tsunoda finished 13th in the Italian Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Nazionale Monza on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda's weekend began in promising fashion, as he reached Q3 and started ninth on the grid. He maintained that position at the start of the race, but pitted early after being stuck in a train of cars. That put Tsunoda back in traffic, and he sustained damage as he attempted to overtake Liam Lawson to regain track position. Tsunoda's pace cratered as a result, and he failed to finish inside the top 10 for eight of the last nine grand prix.
SEPTEMBER 11 • ROTOWIRE
Finally scores points with Red Bull Tsunoda finished ninth in the Dutch Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda had one of his better qualifying sessions with Red Bull and managed to get out of Q1 for the third time in the last four races. He benefited from several retirements and incidents ahead of him to gain three spots on race day. It was a positive weekend for Tsunoda overall and his first points finish since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in mid-May.

Finishes 17th at Hungaroring Tusnoda finished 17th at the Hungarian Grand Prix F1 race at the Hungaroring on Sunday.
Impact The Red Bull was not well-suited for the Hungaroring, as neither Max Verstappen nor Tsunoda looked comfortable during the weekend. He began the race from pit lane after a power unit replacement, further dooming his potential for points. Though not entirely his fault, Tsunoda has now gone seven races without points.
AUGUST 4 • ROTOWIRE
Slips after impressive qualifying Tsunoda finished 13th at the Belgian Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda was off the pace in the sprint but reached Q3 in traditional qualifying for the first time since the Miami Grand Prix. He looked to be on pace for points as a result, but he lost too much track position as the field changed from wet to slick tires due to Red Bull's decision not to double-stack Tsunoda with Max Verstappen. While it doesn't show in the results, this was a promising weekend for Tsunoda.
JULY 28 • ROTOWIRE
Set back by penalty Tsunoda finished 15th at the British Grand Prix F1 race at Silverstone Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda showed glimpses of speed in qualifiyng but was limited in Q2 after suffering from a power issue in his Red Bull. He rose to ninth during the race but was handed a 10-second penalty after contact with Ollie Bearman. That effectively ended the competitive portion of Tsunoda's drive and marked his fifth straight grand prix without points.
JULY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Another poor weekend Tsunoda finished 16th in the Austrian Grand Prix F1 race at Red Bull Ring on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda had a weekend to forget from start to finish. He started 18th or worse on the grid for the third consecutive race and then struggled during the grand prix. Tsunoda caught a 10-second penalty for causing a collision with Franco Colapinto and then was the only driver to require three pit stops. As a result, he was the last driver to cross the finish line and was two laps down. While Tsunoda has shown good speed for most of his career, he has yet to find consistent speed since his promotion to Red Bull.

Finishes 12th in Canada Tsunoda finished 12th in the Canadian Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda's weekend was all but over after he took a 10-place grid penalty for overtaking under a red flag in FP3. After getting knocked out in Q2, he started at the back of the grid and was caught in dirty air for most of the grand prix. Tsunoda has now gone three consecutive grand prix without scoring points.
JUNE 16 • ROTOWIRE
10-Place Grid Penalty Tsunoda has received a 10-place grid penalty for the Canadian Grand Prix after being found guilty of a red flag infringement during Free Practice 3, Formula1.com reports.
Impact Tsunoda would qualify 11th on the starting grid in qualifying, but he would be found guilty of an infringement during final practice. Oscar Piastri would have contact with the wall and sustain a tyre puncture. The red flag would be displayed due to debris and Tusnoda would overtake the slower Piastri during that period. The stewards would note and review the incident and slap Tsunoda with a tough 10-place grid penalty for Sunday's Canadian GP. He'll start dead last on the grid as a result.
JUNE 14 • ROTOWIRE
Another poor showing Tsunoda finished 13th at the Spanish Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda's qualifying slump continued in Spain, and he started 20th on the grid for the second time in the last three races. He complained about a lack of grip during the session, an issue that appeared to be at least somewhat cured during the race. However, Tsunoda was once again doomed by his poor starting position and has now failed to record a point in four of his seven races with Red Bull.
JUNE 2 • ROTOWIRE
Poor qualifying dooms weekend Tsunoda finished 17th in the Monaco Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Monaco on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda's run of poor qualifying continued, as he was knocked out of Q2 at Monaco. That set him up for a tough weekend given the difficulty of passing at the circuit, and that played out during the grand prix. Tsunoda was stuck in a line of traffic most of the day while staying out for a long second stint, hoping for a yellow flag that never came. In six races with Red Bull, Tsunoda has finished in the top ten on three occasions but has totaled only four points.
MAY 27 • ROTOWIRE
Manages point after big crash Tsunoda finished 10th in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari on Sunday.
Impact Tsunoda didn't set a lap time in qualifying after a massive crash that saw him barrel through the gravel pit and rip his car apart. Fortunately, he walked away unscathed, and his mechanics at Red Bull were able to rebuild his car in time for race day. Tsunoda was on the proper strategy to take advantage of virtual and full safety cars, pitting under each, as he ran a long initial stint on hard tires. That allowed him to recover to tally a point on what had the potential to be a disastrous weekend.
MAY 19 • ROTOWIRE
Recovery Drive at Imola Tsunoda finished 10th in the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Imola Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact The Red Bull Racing driver would crash out in qualifying and have the misfortune of starting last on the grid in the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. Tsunoda would be undaunted and begin his drive to the front at the lights out. By lap 29 and his lone pit stop he'd already be up to 12th-place. With two retirements and his overtake of Nico Hulkenberg down the stretch, Tsunoda would move into 10th-place and earn a point during his recovery drive at Imola.
