Contact with Hulkenberg Gasly finished 16th the Qatar Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Lusail International Circuit on Sunday.
Impact A brilliant qualifying effort would put Gasly ninth on the starting grid. However, an early-race run in with Nico Hulkenberg would see the two collide on lap 7 while hotly battling. The Sauber driver would be mortally wounded from the encounter and retire early. Gasly would sustain front wing damage but pit for a new wing and continue on. He would rejoin P19 and lose a ton of track position. From there Gasly would ride in the back-end of the field and only climb a couple spots late due to problems for Isack Hadjar and Lance Stroll's poor race strategy.

Lap 1 Spin Gasly finished 13th in the Las Vegas Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday night.
Impact A good qualifying effort would be spoiled by some early-race drama for Gasly. Turn 1 of the opening lap would see several cars make contact and as a result Gasly would be sent spinning into the opening turn. He would recover and rejoin but lose several spots to P17. The Alpine veteran would pit on lap 2 under the VSC to repair and service his car. That would effectively mire him deep in the running order. With the retirements of three drivers and two McLaren's being DQ'd post-race, Gasly would eventually be credited with a P13 finish. He'll look for better results next round in Qatar.
NOVEMBER 25 • ROTOWIRE
First Points Since Belgium Gasly finished 10th in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Interlagos Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact It's been a long, brutal summer for both Alpine racers. However, Gasly was able to find a good setup and some speed this Sunday in Brazil. The veteran driver would advance to Q3 and grab a ninth-place starting spot on the grid. Gasly's two-stop strategy and on-track battles in the mid-field would shore up that good track position. He would race up to P7 just prior to his final stop of the day. Gasly would pressure Nico Hulkenberg in the closing laps but couldn't complete that overtake. His P10 finish rewarded the team with his first points since Belgium in late July.
NOVEMBER 10 • ROTOWIRE
P15 in Mexico City Gasly finished 15th in the Mexico City Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Another week of failing to advance out of Q1 would relegate Gasly to a back-end battle in Mexico City. The veteran Alpine driver opted for medium tyres and a one-stop strategy Sunday. It would only allow him to climb to P16 prior to his stop so gaining track position was difficult. He would fall a lap down to the leaders on lap 37 and would only promote up to P15 due to late-race retirements. Gasly will look for better results next round out in Brazil.
OCTOBER 28 • ROTOWIRE
Fades in United States GP Gasly finished 19th in the United States Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday afternoon.
Impact After starting 14th on the grid there was some hope the Alpine veteran could challenge for points Sunday in Austin. However, Gasly's undercut pit strategy wouldn't seem to work out. He would slide back to P19 and battle in traffic the rest of the day. Gasly would make it as high as P15 during his second stint but poor pace and struggles with the car would see him fade to 19th-place by the checkered flag. He'll look to rebound next round out in Mexico.
OCTOBER 21 • ROTOWIRE
Pit Lane Start at Marina Bay Gasly finished 19th in the Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Marina Bay Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Gasly would start from pit lane due to changing his floor and some suspension adjustments during parc ferme conditions. He would start the race on medium tyres and run to a lap 24 pit stop. This would give him no advantage and keep the Alpine veteran camped in the rear quarter of the field. A second pit stop on lap 51 would be necessary as his second set of tyres would give up. Gasly would only manage to overtake Nico Hulkenberg late and collect a disappointing P19 finish on the Marina Bay Circuit.
OCTOBER 7 • ROTOWIRE
P18 Struggle in Azerbaijan Gasly finished 18th in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Baku City Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact A poor qualifying effort would put Gasly on the backfoot all afternoon in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Alpine veteran driver would execute a long opening stint and lap 35 stop but could only attain P15 as a result. Others in the rear of the field would use similar race strategy so it was not much help to Gasly. The general lack of pace would see him fall one lap down to the leaders and he'd only overtake teammate, Franco Colapinto, in the final minutes to attain P18 at the checkered flag. Gasly will look for better results next round out in Singapore.
SEPTEMBER 23 • ROTOWIRE
Pit Lane Start Gasly finished 16th in the Italian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Monza Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact The Alpine veteran would start the grand prix from 20th-place on pit lane due to power unit changes prior to the race. That would put him on the backfoot from the get-go. Gasly would opt for hard compound tyres to start and run most of the race on one set of tyres. He would race up to a high of P10 at one point during mid-race pit stops but would only fade back into the field on the old rubber as his tyres degraded. A lap 49 pit stop for fresh rubber would do nothing to mitigate Gasly's fall through the field and he would finish P16 at Monza.

Signs Extension with Alpine Gasly has committed his long-term future to Alpine by signing a contract extension that will see him race for the French manufacturer until at least the end of the 2028 campaign, F...
Impact The veteran driver inked a new deal with his current team Alpine. Gasly's current deal wasn't set to expire until the end of 2026, but the team decided to extend the 29-year-old driver into 2028 and lock up his experience in their Formula 1 effort. Gasly helped Alpine to a sixth-place finish in the Constructors title last season and is considered the cornerstone of the team at this point.
SEPTEMBER 6 • ROTOWIRE
P17 in Dutch Grand Prix Gasly finished 17th in the Dutch Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Gasly made it out of Q1 on Saturday at the Dutch grand prix circuit. However, he would still start pretty deep in the field at P14. A one stop strategy (early pit) would end up being a flawed approach. Gasly would climb to P8 by late in the race, but his tyres were absolutely worn out over the final 10 laps. He would drop like a rock and Gasly would lose nine spots after the final caution period of the day to finish last on the lead lap in P17. He'll look to rebound next round out at Monza.
SEPTEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE
10-Second Penalty Gasly finished 19th in the Hungarian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Hungaroring circuit on Sunday.
Impact Gasly would start the race on hard tyres and look to do a long opening stint to make up track position. He would run to lap 31 and pit out of P15 in his one-stop strategy. Gasly would be stuck in backend battles until near the end of the race when he'd make contact with Carlos Sainz and draw the review of the stewards in that battle. He'd lose the spot to Sainz and then be slapped with a 10-second penalty for avoidable contact. That would demote Gasly to P19 after the checkered flag. He'll look to rebound next round out in the Netherlands.
AUGUST 5 • ROTOWIRE
Scores Points in Belgium Gasly finished 10th in the Belgian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact The Alpine veteran would make good moves early in the grand prix to advance from his P13 starting position on the grid. Gasly would use an undercut pit strategy and that would propel him past drivers like Yuki Tsunoda and Oliver Bearman. He would emerge from the pits in P14 and quickly promote to P11. Gasly would race hard down the stretch and overtake Nico Hulkenberg to secure 10th-place and points for the BWT Alpine F1 Team.
JULY 28 • ROTOWIRE
Best Finish of the Season Gasly finished sixth in the British Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Silverstone Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Gasly would parlay his good qualifying spot of P8 into points Sunday in the British Grand Prix. The Alpine veteran would promote up to P5 at the lights out as a handful of drivers would pit on the formation lap to take on slick tyres. That track position would be long run dividends for Gasly. After his lap 41 pit stop he'd take on medium tyres for the final stint and get past Lance Stroll on the last lap to secure a strong, season-best sixth-place finish in the British Grand Prix.
JULY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Balance Problems Gasly finished 13th in the Austrian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday afternoon.
Impact The Alpine veteran would start 10th on the grid after a solid qualifying effort and would race all the way up to P6 before his opening pit stop. However, Gasly would report numerous times over his radio to his team that he was struggling with balance problems in the car. He would race all the way back up to ninth after his stop but couldn't hang onto the track position gained due to his struggles. Gasly would only rebound to P13 with a late overtake of Lance Stroll.
JULY 1 • ROTOWIRE
Disappointing Finish in Montreal Gasly finished 15th in the Canadian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Sunday afternoon.
Impact After changes to his car post-qualifying, Gasly would start the grand prix from pit road. It would be an uphill battle the entire race for the veteran Alpine driver. A long opening stint would get him up to P14 but degrading tyres over the long run would see Gasly fade to P16 by his lone pit stop on lap 53. He could only recover to 15th-place in the closing laps with a late overtake with Isack Hadjar.
JUNE 17 • ROTOWIRE
Rebounds to Points Gasly finished eighth in the Spanish Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday afternoon.
Impact After his disappointing crash and DNF in Monaco, Gasly rebounded to the points with a solid performance in Barcelona. The Alpine veteran would use the undercut strategy to good effect to anchor himself within the Top 10 for the entire grand prix. Despite falling back to P17 after his second pit stop, Gasly would have little trouble racing back up inside the Top 10. A late safety car period would aid him further and Max Verstappen's 10-second penalty would promote Gasly to P8 at the finish in Spain.
JUNE 2 • ROTOWIRE
Crash with Yuki Tsunoda Gasly crashed and finished 20th in the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit de Monaco on Sunday.
Impact A poor qualifying effort and P17 start on the grid would put Gasly back in the field for the start of this Monaco Grand Prix. The veteran Alpine driver would press and look to make up some spots in the early going. However, he would run into trouble on lap 9. Gasly would run into the rear wheel of Yuki Tsunoda under braking for the Nouvelle Chicane. The damage would be extensive and he would limp his mortally wounded car back to the pit area. Gasly would be finished for the day and saddled with the disappointing 20th-place finish.
MAY 27 • ROTOWIRE
P13 in Miami GP Gasly finished 13th in the Miami Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Miami International Autodrome on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Gasly would start from pit lane due to suspension changes to his car under parc ferme conditions. The Alpine veteran would begin his recovery drive by running an extended opening stint and pitting on lap 32 for fresh rubber. This would allow Gasly to gain valuable track position and hold onto it due to some driver retirements. He would overtake Nico Hulkenberg down the stretch in order to claim a respectable P13 in the Miami GP.

Crash and DNF in Saudi Arabia Gasly crashed and finished 20th in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on Sunday evening.
Impact Gasly had qualified so well and started ninth on the grid. The hopes for points for the Alpine veteran would soon fade as he would find trouble on lap 1. Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda would come together hard with contact on both the sidepods and the tyres. Both cars would crash after the collision with Tsunoda continuing on and Gasly too damaged to continue. Both cars would soon retire and hang Gasly with the disappointing 20th-place finish. He'll look to rebound next round out in Miami.

Grabs First Points of Season Gasly finished seventh in the Bahrain Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Sakhir Circuit on Sunday evening.
Impact A fantastic qualifying effort would give Gasly P4 on the starting grid. From the lights out he would be under assault and lose one spot to a fast-paced Lando Norris. The Alpine veteran would hold strong though and pit for fresh rubber on lap 10. The recovery drive would see Gasly race back to P5 by his second pitstop and hang onto that good track position down the stretch. He'd lose one spot on the final lap to Max Verstappen but still come home an impressive P7 and with six points as a reward.
