Wins first race with Ferrari Hamilton won the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.
Impact Hamilton turned back the clock with a vintage performance to take home his first win with Ferrari. After starting in second, Hamilton employed a rare three-stop strategy at the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit and was turning in extremely fast lap times throughout the race. He struck a bit of good fortune when a Virtual Safety Car was deployed only a handful of laps after George Russell and Kimi Antonelli pitted, giving Hamilton a less costly final stop. That allowed him to maintain the lead and track position, though he was ultimately able to pull away to win the race by nearly 20 seconds. While there was some luck involved, Hamilton was clearly the fastest driver of the day and has now finished on the podium in three straight races.
