Shows improvement at Hungary Stroll finished 13th in the Hungarian Grand Prix F1 race at the Hungaroring on Sunday.
Impact The Aston Martin showed the expected improvement after significant upgrades were introduced, and Stroll took advantage. He had a poor qualifying session after making a mistake on Turn 12, but he went to run a clean race and gain several positions. This marked Stroll's best finish of the season, and he could build on this result coming out of the summer break.
JULY 29 • ROTOWIRE
Retires due to gearbox issue Stroll was forced to retire from the Belgian Grand Prix F1 race after 25 laps at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday.
Impact The Aston Martin remained well off the pace in Belgium, though Stroll was able to stick relatively close to teammate Fernando Alonso during qualifying and the race. Stroll made his first stop of the race on Lap 17 but was called back into the pits only a handful of laps later due to a gearbox problem, which ultimately ended his race. Aston Martin is set to introduce major upgrades at the Hungarian Grand Prix, which should give Stroll the chance to be reasonably competitive for the first time this season.
JULY 22 • ROTOWIRE
Makes most of poor car Stroll finished 19th in the British Grand Prix F1 race at Silverstone Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Fernando Alonso continued to get the better of Stroll on race day, but Stroll still managed to show glimpses of promise. He out-qualified Alonso for the grand prix for only the second time this season, before slipping down the running order. While he remains uncompetitive due to the poor state of the Aston Martin, Stroll finished consecutive grand prix for only the second time this season.
JULY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Another retirement Stroll retired from the Austrian Grand Prix F1 Race at the Red Bull Ring after 45 laps on Sunday.
Impact The Aston Martin remains non-competitive, though Stroll did show some positive signs on race day. After qualifying 22nd, he managed to overtake teammate Fernando Alonso on Lap 38. Only a handful of laps later, he was advised to come to pit lane to retire the car. That marked Stroll's fifth retirement in eight races this season.
JULY 1 • ROTOWIRE
Suffers from gearbox problems Stroll was forced to retire after five laps of the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.
Impact Stroll had a brief bit of optimism Saturday, when he managed to out-qualify teammate Fernando Alonso for the first time this season. However, he lost the ability to shift into third and fourth gears after only a handful of laps, forcing him to retire from the race. Stroll has yet to record a point this season and has retired from four of the seven races.
JUNE 18 • ROTOWIRE
Late crash in Monaco Stroll crashed after 56 laps of the Monaco Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Monaco on Sunday.
Impact Stroll has been a non-factor all season due to a combination of his own form and the form of his Aston Martin. He ultimately failed to finish due to a blemish in the track conditions, and Stroll has now been forced to retire in half of the six races this season.
JUNE 10 • ROTOWIRE
Two pit-lane starts Stroll finished 15th in the Canadian Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Sunday.
Impact The Aston Martin had shown some promising signs in Miami, but that disappeared in Canada. Stroll suffered from suspension and battery problems throughout the weekend sessions, leading to two pit-lane starts. He was only able to beat Valtteri Bottas among drivers who finished the race, though technically this was his best result of the season.
MAY 28 • ROTOWIRE
Looks more competitive Stroll finished 17th at the Miami Grand Prix F1 race at Miami International Autodrome on Sunday.
Impact The Aston Martin improved its reliability during the long break before the Miami Grand Prix, though the car was still not particularly competitive. Stroll largely did what he could on the weekend, keeping pace with Fernando Alonso in qualifying while finishing only eight seconds behind him in the race. Stroll won't be a contender for points anytime soon, but this was his most promising weekend of the season.
MAY 6 • ROTOWIRE
Another retirement Stroll retired after 30 laps of the Japanese Grand Prix F1 race at Suzuka Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Aston Martin continued to struggle to find any pace, with Fernando Alonso and Stroll qualifying in the last two positions. Stroll did gain a bit of ground at the start of the race, but he was ultimately forced to retire due to a loss of water pressure. Stroll has yet to finish a race this season.
APRIL 1 • ROTOWIRE
Completes only nine laps Stroll was forced to retire after nine laps from the Chinese Grand Prix F1 race at Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Stroll's horrific start to the 2025 season continued, as vibrations in his Aston Martin remained. He has run only 52 out of a possible 118 laps across the first two races of the season. The only positive takeaway for Stroll was that he managed to finish the sprint race and was only four-tenths of a second off his teammate, Fernando Alonso.
MARCH 18 • ROTOWIRE
Minimal running in Australia Stroll was not classified in the Australian Grand Prix F1 race at Albert Park Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Aston Martin was known to be in a significant hole heading into the weekend, and Stroll was rarely on the track. He ran only 16 laps combined across the three practice sessions and did not participate at all in qualifying. Stroll did manage to complete 43 laps on race day, double that of teammate Fernando Alonso, but it was an underwhelming weekend. Things aren't likely to get much better for Aston Martin during the Chinese Grand Prix.
MARCH 11 • ROTOWIRE
Finds point in Abu Dhabi Stroll finished 10th in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix F1 race at Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Stroll started 15th on the grid after another underwhelming showing in qualifying. However, he and Aston Martin got the strategy right, as Stroll started the race on hard tires and was the second-to-last driver to pit. That allowed him to gain track position, which he maintained in a short second stint. Stroll was hit with a five-second penalty late in the race while defending a position from Carlos Sainz Jr., but he still managed to pick up his first point since the Dutch Grand Prix in late August. It was a positive close to an otherwise poor season, as Stroll managed to tally only 33 points.
DECEMBER 11, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Way off pace in Qatar Stroll finished 17th in the Qatar Grand Prix F1 race at the Lusail International Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Stroll admitted to struggling to find a comfort level with his Aston Martin throughout the weekend, and it showed in his results. He qualified 16th and 19th for the sprint and grand prix, respectively, and was never close to contending for a points position. It was a disappointing finish for Stroll, and he has now gone without points for eight straight races.
DECEMBER 4, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Knocked out of race in Vegas Stroll was forced to retire from the Las Vegas Grand Prix F1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday.
Impact Stroll was the lone driver to switch from intermediate to slick tires during qualifying, which caused him to miss out on a potential spot in Q3. His Aston Martin didn't have the pace to contend for points, but any chance of a good finish was immediately ended by Gabriel Bortoleto, who collided into Stroll on the opening lap. Bortoleto was handed a five-place grid penalty for the Qatar Grand Prix, but that is little consolation for Stroll, who has now gone seven races without points.
NOVEMBER 26, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Disappointing fall in sprint Stroll finished 16th in the Brazilian Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace on Sunday.
Impact Stroll had a chance to earn points early in the weekend, as he qualified seventh for the sprint. However, he was passed late in the sprint by Pierre Gasly to finish ninth and miss out on points. Stroll then qualified 14th for the race and was a relative non-factor. He has now missed out on points for six consecutive race weekends.
NOVEMBER 13, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Poor qualifying dooms Mexican GP Stroll finished 14th at the Mexico City Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday.
Impact Stroll qualified 19th and nearly four tenths off the pace of Aston Martin teammate Fernando Alonso in Q1. He then spun on the opening lap while attempting to pass on a dirty part of the track, ending any chance Stroll had of finding points. He has now gone five consecutive races without finishing inside the top 10.
OCTOBER 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Buried after penalty Stroll finished 12th in the United States Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday.
Impact The Aston Martin had decent pace throughout the weekend, though Stroll struggled to race with any consistency. He picked up a five-place grid penalty to start the grand prix after causing a collision with Esteban Ocon in the sprint race. He managed to move up the field for a respectable finish in the grand prix, but it was an underwhelming weekend overall. Stroll has failed to finish in the points in four straight races.
OCTOBER 22, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Five-Place Grid Penalty Stroll has been hit with a five-place grid penalty for the United States Grand Prix following a collision with the Haas of Esteban Ocon during Saturday's Sprint, Formula1.com repor...
Impact Late in the Sprint Saturday at Circuit of the Americas, Stroll would lock up going into turn 1 attempting to overtake Ocon for position. He would make what the stewards deemed as avoidable contact with the Haas F1 veteran. Stroll has been hit with a five-place grid penalty for Sunday's United States Grand Prix. This setback will hamper any possibility of Stroll getting into the points in Austin.
OCTOBER 18, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Helps Alonso to points Stroll finished 13th at the Singapore Grand Prix F1 race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Stroll was eliminated in Q1, putting him in a position he couldn't recover from on race day. He held up the midfield after running a long initial stint on soft tires to allow teammate Fernando Alonso to re-enter the race in a favorable position and tally points -- his biggest impact of the weekend. Stroll has now failed to finish inside the top 10 in three straight races.
OCTOBER 9, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Long stint doesn't pay off Stroll finished 17th at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix F1 race at the Baku City Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Stroll snuck out of Q1 but was nearly a second off the pace in Q2, burying him 14th on the grid to start the race. He elected to run a long initial stint on medium tires in hopes of a safety car, though that never came. Stroll failed to earn points for the second consecutive grand prix.
SEPTEMBER 25, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Suffers from long pit stop Stroll finished 18th at the Italian Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Nazionale Monza on Sunday.
Impact Stroll missed out on Q2 by a tenth of a second to Alex Albon, marking the sixth time in the last seven races he's failed to advance from Q1. He ran a long opening stint on hard tires, hoping to hit a timely caution. While Stroll was unlikely to contend for points, any chance of doing so was ruined by a 13-second pit stop.
SEPTEMBER 11, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Recovers from early-weekend crash Stroll finished seventh in the Dutch Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday.
Impact Stroll showed pace during the early portions of the weekend, but two big mistakes jeopardized his chance for points. He had a significant crash in FP2 and then got a tire in the grass during qualifying, causing him to spin and crash at Turn 13. Despite starting 19th, Stroll benefited from good fortune on race day, as he pitted early and undercut the field prior to a safety car. That gave Stroll track position that he was able to maintain for his third points finish in his last four grand prix.
SEPTEMBER 3, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Crash at Zandvoort Stroll crashed during Free Practice 2 for the Dutch Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Friday.
Impact It was an unfortunate turn of events for the Aston Martin veteran. Stroll had shown good pace in both the day's opening practice and this second session. However, Stroll would lose control of his car in turn 3 just over 10 minutes into this session and make heavy impact with the barriers. The team will now have to quickly make repairs and get Stroll ready for practice 3 and qualifying Saturday at Zandvoort.
AUGUST 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Impressive showing at Hungaroring Stroll finished seventh at the Hungarian Grand Prix F1 race at Hungaroring on Sunday.
Impact Stroll's Aston Martin lacked pace at Spa one week ago, but the opposite was true at Hungaroring. He was consistently among the fastest cars in the midfield and ultimately qualified sixth. Stroll lost one position to Gabriel Bortoleto during the race, but this was one of the most convincing weekends of his season.
AUGUST 4, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Slips down field at Spa Stroll finished 14th in the Belgian Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday.
Impact Stroll arguably got the most that he could out of his Aston Martin, but both he and Fernando Alonso were well off the pace all weekend. Stroll managed to pick up a few positions after lining up 16th due to pulling off a one-stop strategy, but he still fell well short of points.
