Out-performed by Sainz Albon finished 11th in the Qatar Grand Prix F1 race at Lusail International Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Albon was a step or more behind teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. the entire weekend. The contrast was particularly clear following the sprint, as Albon finished almost 0.4 seconds off the pace of Sainz during qualifying and then finished outside of the points while Sainz bagged a podium. Albon started the season well but has now gone seven consecutive grand prix without scoring a point.

Struggles in Vegas Albon retired from the Las Vegas Grand Prix F1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit after 35 laps on Saturday.
Impact Albon had a weekend to forget from start to finish. He grazed the wall in Q1,causing him to be eliminated early from qualifying. That ended any realistic chance of points, though he ensured that by also picking up a five-second penlty during the grand prix for causing a collision with Lewis Hamilton. Albon has fallen into a deep slump to end the season, going six grand prix without points.
NOVEMBER 26 • ROTOWIRE
Narrowly misses points Albon finished 11th at the Brazilian Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace on Sunday.
Impact The Williams had marginal pace all weekend, but Albon was the faster of the team's drivers. The team made uncharacteristic strategic blunders, as Albon lamented running too long on his first stint of the race. While he had a decent weekend relative to potential realistic outcomes, Albon has now gone five grand prix without scoring points.
NOVEMBER 12 • ROTOWIRE
Poor showing in Mexico Albon finished 12th in the Mexico City Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday.
Impact Albon never found the pace at Mexico City, as he surprisingly managed to qualify only 17th while dealing with brake issues. He began the race on hard tires to try an alternate strategy, but he still fell short of points. Albon has now gone four consecutive grand prix without finishing inside the top 10.
OCTOBER 29 • ROTOWIRE
Early exit from qualifying Albon finished 14th in the United States Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday.
Impact Albon's weekend began decently, as he lucked into points during the sprint after a collision between several cars at the top of the field. He put together a seemingly strong performance in Q1 but had his time deleted for exceeding track limits. That left Albon to start 18th on the grid, a position he ultimately couldn't recover from.

OCTOBER 9 • ROTOWIRE
Disqualified from Qualifying Albon and Carlos Sainz have both been disqualified from Qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix due to technical breaches on their Williams cars, Formula1.com reports.
Impact The duo had placed 12th and 13th respectively on the starting grid but will see those starting spots wiped out by the infractions. The statement from FIA found that both car's rear wings would open wider than regulation when DRS was deployed. Both Albon and Sainz will fall to the rear of the field for Sunday's Singapore GP. Albon will face an uphill battle to earn points at the Marina Bay Circuit.
OCTOBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Qualifying mistake dooms Baku race Albon finished 13th in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix F1 race at the Baku City Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Albon entered the grand prix with plenty of momentum, having finished fifth and seventh in his prior two races. However, that was halted quickly, as he crashed out of qualifying in Q1. Albon then picked up a 10-second penalty on race day while trying to overtake Franco Colapinto fresh out of the pits. He failed to finish in points for only the second time in his last six grand prix.

SEPTEMBER 25 • ROTOWIRE
Seventh at Monza Albon finished seventh in the Italian Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Nazionale Monza on Sunday.
Impact Albon executed Williams' go-to strategy when they have a quick car, starting the race on hard tires and running a long first stint. That allowed him to make up for a shaky qualifying performance, when he failed to make Q3 for the third consecutive race. Albon has overcome his mediocre qualifying form to record points in four of his last five races.
SEPTEMBER 11 • ROTOWIRE
Top-five finish in Netherlands Albon finished fifth in the Dutch Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday.
Impact Albon's weekend didn't start in promising fashion, as he qualified 15th and nearly three-tenths of a second off the pace of Q2. However, he got off to a quick start in the grand prix and was in P10 by the end of the first lap. Things further improved from there with several retirements and collisions from drivers ahead of him, and the end result was Albon's best finish since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in mid-May.
SEPTEMBER 3 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles in Hungary Albon finished 15th at the Hungarian Grand Prix F1 race at Hungaroring on Sunday.
Impact Albon was all but immediately doomed after qualifying 20th and finishing Q1 over half a second behind teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. He was able to make up some ground on race day, but got stuck in the midfield with minimal chances to overtake at Hungaroring. Albon's performance has been erratic of late due to a combination of retirements and lack of pace, leaving him with points in only two of the last six races.
AUGUST 4 • ROTOWIRE
Banks sixth-place finish at Spa Albon finished sixth at the Belgian Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday.
Impact Albon had power issues during sprint qualifying that left him well off the pace, but he rebounded for the second half of the weekend. He delivered a stunning lap in Q3 to line up fifth on the grid, then only lost one spot to George Russell during the race. This was Albon's best finish since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in mid-May and marked his fourth grand prix finishing sixth or better this season.
JULY 28 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to top 10 Albon finished eighth at the British Grand Prix F1 race at Silverstone Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Albon's British Grand Prix started poorly, as he had an ill-timed fast lap in Q1 that was interrupted by a red flag to burn a set of soft tires, and he then set his Q2 time too early in the session. However, Albon and Williams managed to navigate the rainy conditions during the grand prix to move from 13th into the points. He benefited from a late collision between teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. and Charles Leclerc that flattered his form a bit, but it was still a good way for Albon to end his streak of three consecutive retirements.
JULY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Third consecutive retirement Albon retired from the Austrian Grand Prix F1 race at Red Bull Ring on Sunday.
Impact Albon appeared to be in the fight for points, starting 12th on the grid after a decent showing in qualifying. However, the end result continued a worrying ongoing trend, as he was forced to retire after 15 laps. Albon and Williams were both unsure of the exact cause of the car issues, but this marked his third straight retirement.
JUNE 30 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles continue in Canada Albon was forced to retire from the Canadian Grand Prix F1 race due to an engine failure at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Sunday.
Impact Albon had an adventurous weekend in Canada. He performed very well in FP2 by posting the fourth-fastest lap time, though qualifying wasn't quite as smooth. Albon had an engine cover fly off during a hot lap, but more relevantly, lost the balance of his car in windy conditions during Q3. After starting ninth on the grid, Albon had a bad start that dropped him out of the points on the opening lap. His race continued to trend poorly when engine failure struck, with his second consecutive retirement being the result.
JUNE 16 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles in Spain Albon was forced to retire from the Spanish Grand Prix F1 race after 27 laps at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.
Impact Albon failed to reach Q3 for the first time since the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix but was still within striking distance for points as he lined up 11th on the grid. However, things went from bad to worse, as he got a slow start off the line as the lights went out and also suffered a broken wing on the opening turn of the grand prix. Albon tried to recover but suffered yet another broken wing and incurred a 10-second penalty in a battle with Liam Lawson around Lap 25. After serving the penalty, the team opted to retire the car, officially ending his four-race point streak.
JUNE 2 • ROTOWIRE
Two points at Monaco Albon finished ninth at the Monaco Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Monaco on Sunday.
Impact Albon reached Q3 for the third consecutive week, starting one spot ahead of teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. Williams maximized Albon's position by having Sainz back up the field -- a possibility given the difficulty of passing at Monaco -- giving Albon a sufficient gap to make a pit stop. Albon then gained an additional spot due to the retirement of Fernando Alonso, and he now has points in all but one race this year.
MAY 27 • ROTOWIRE
Finishes fifth again Albon finished fifth in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari on Sunday.
Impact Albon finished fifth for the second consecutive race to continue his excellent start to 2025, though he briefly had ambitions of a podium finish. After a virtual safety car that caused a significant portion of the field to pit on Lap 29, Albon found himself third in the field behind only Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. He was passed fairly easily by Oscar Piastri but managed to split the Ferraris after a spirited battle with Charles Leclerc in the final laps. He now sits eighth in the driver standings with 40 points.
