Impact The Giants needed space on the roster after recalling both Jesus Rodriguez and Bryce Eldridge from Triple-A, resulting in Brennan going down to the minors and Jerar Encarnacion being designated for assignment in corresponding moves. Brennan appeared in just five games for the Giants since being recalled in mid-April and went 0-for-9 with two strikeouts across those outings. He'll get more reps in Triple-A, where he is slashing .400/.396/.560 with one home run and 10 RBI in 54 plate appearances.

Impact With Jared Oliva (wrist) and Harrison Bader (hamstring) landing on the injured list, Brennan and Drew Gilbert will move up to the majors to burnish the Giants' outfield depth. Jung Hoo Lee will likely serve as Bader's primary replacement in center field, which potentially opens the door for Brennan to handle the strong side of a platoon in right field. Brennan had been one of Sacramento's top performers at the plate prior to his promotion, slashing .400/.396/.560 across 54 plate appearances on the season.

The 28-year-old outfielder has routinely batted above .300 at the Triple-A level and could earn a spot on the Giants' bench if he continues to swing a hot bat.

Following an injury-riddled 2025 campaign in which he underwent Tommy John surgery in June and sports hernia surgery in September, the 28-year-old outfielder signed a major-league deal with San Francisco in mid-February.
