Grand day for Lindor with first Mets slam If the Mets had any doubts about Francisco Lindor’s long-term fit on this team, he is shattering them with his recent Grapefruit League play...

Dealing with blood clot Harris was diagnosed with a blood clot in his right arm after undergoing an MRI on Friday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Impact The 36-year-old will visit a doctor to determine a treatment plan and should be considered out indefinitely until the team provides a recovery timeline. Harris hasn't pitched in a Grapefruit League game since March 9, so he already appears likely to be sidelined for Opening Day.

Near lock for rotation spot Peterson is very likely to break camp in the rotation, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
Impact Peterson always seemed likely to open the year in the rotation, as he spent most of last season there and acquitted himself well, though his 19.5 percent strikeout rate and 11.7 percent walk rate didn't come close to backing up his 3.44 ERA. Carlos Carrasco's hamstring issue means there are now two spots available for some combination of Peterson, Joey Lucchesi and Jordan Yamamoto, and it would be a surprise if Peterson was the odd man out among that group. Lucchesi and Yamamoto combined to throw 17 major-league innings last year, giving up 28 earned runs.

No concerns about wrist Smith (wrist) took batting practice a day ahead of schedule Friday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Impact Smith was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins and isn't expected to play until Sunday. He doesn't seem concerned about the issue, however, saying Friday that he would be in the lineup if he dealt with a similar issue during the regular season.

Can't find plate this spring Familia has walked six batters while striking out only two over five Grapefruit League innings so far this spring.
Impact The right-hander's 1.80 ERA is superficially strong, but Familia has not pitched well in camp. The back of the Mets bullpen remains a jumble after closer Edwin Diaz and new setup man Trevor May, but it's hard to see Familia being entrusted with high-leverage work until he solves his control woes.
MARCH 19, 2021 ROTOWIRE
Solid spring so far May has posted a 3.60 ERA and 5:1 K:BB through five Grapefruit League innings so far this spring.
Impact The right-hander has looked good in the exhibition schedule to begin his tenure with the Mets. Dellin Betances and Jeurys Familia have both struggled through the early part of March, and with Seth Lugo (elbow) expected to begin the season on the IL, May figures to be the team's primary setup man in front of closer Edwin Diaz.
