INJURIES

Strong month of June continues Buehler took a no-decision Saturday against Texas, allowing one run on five hits and one walk in 5.1 innings. He struck out seven.
Impact Buehler tied a season high in punchouts Saturday, also matching his second-longest start of the season. The 31-year-old right-hander has been dealing on the mound particularly as of late, working at least 4.2 innings while yielding just one run in four consecutive outings during the month of June. Buehler has a solid 3.96 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 65:23 K:BB over 72.2 frames, but he's next lined up for one of his toughest tests of the year against the Dodgers.

Mostly cruises in fourth win Buehler (4-3) notched the win Sunday against the Orioles, allowing one run on six hits and no walks in five innings. He struck out five.
Impact Other than serving up a fifth-inning Jeremiah Jackson solo home run, Buehler was excellent Sunday while pouring in 60 of his 86 pitches for strikes. The 31-year-old right-hander is gaining momentum on the hill as of late, tossing at least 4.2 innings while giving up two runs or fewer in four consecutive starts. Buehler will hope to further improve on a 4.14 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 58:22 K:BB over 67.1 innings in a fairly soft matchup against the Rangers in Texas his next time out.

Mitigates damage in 4.2 frames Buehler did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing one run on eight hits and two walks over 4.2 innings in a 6-2 victory over the Reds. He struck out four.
Impact Buehler allowed plenty of traffic on the bases, which prevented him from working deep into the contest, though the right-hander was able to limit the damage before exiting with one out remaining in the fifth inning. It hasn't always been pretty, but the 31-year-old has quietly allowed two or fewer runs in five of his past six starts. Buehler will carry a 3-3 record with a 4.33 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 53:22 K:BB across 62.1 innings (13 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Orioles.

Sharp in no-decision Buehler did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Phillies. He allowed a run on four hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings.
Impact Buehler was solid Wednesday, as he held the Phillies scoreless before allowing a lone run in the fifth inning. The right-hander has now held opponents to two runs or fewer in four of his last five starts, posting a 3.81 ERA in that span (26.2 innings). Buehler's lowered his ERA to 4.53 on the season with a 1.28 WHIP and 49:20 K:BB across 12 starts (57.2 innings). He's tentatively scheduled to face the Reds at home his next time out.

Dealt tough-luck loss Wednesday Buehler (3-3) took the loss Wednesday against the Phillies, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out two over 5.1 innings.
Impact Buehler was excellent for most of the night, facing the minimum through five innings, but after allowing a single and a hit-by-pitch in the sixth with Kyle Schwarber due up, San Diego opted to turn to left-hander Adrian Morejon despite Buehler sitting at only 58 pitches. The move backfired as both inherited runners eventually came around to score, and the Padres' offense once again failed to provide Buehler with enough run support, saddling the right-hander with the loss. He has now limited opponents to two or fewer earned runs in six of his last nine starts and owns a 4.88 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 43:18 K:BB across 51.2 innings. Buehler is slated for a rematch against Philadelphia in his next outing.

Escapes with no-decision Buehler allowed three runs on five hits and four walks while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Friday.
Impact Buehler allowed two runs in the first inning and another in the fourth. He was able to avoid giving up a home run for the first time in four starts, but the Padres' offense didn't show up in time to give him a chance at the win. The four walks were a season high for the right-hander. He's at a 5.05 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 41:18 K:BB through 46.1 innings over 10 starts this season. Buehler's next outing is projected to be at home versus the Phillies.

Records third victory Buehler (3-2) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six batters over five innings to earn the win over Seattle on Saturday.
Impact Buehler was staked to a 5-0 lead before he gave up a run in the bottom of the fourth inning. The right-hander yielded one more run in the fifth and didn't return for the sixth, as he had already thrown 101 pitches by that point. Buehler recorded just seven whiffs in the outing, but he struck out six batters, registering his second-most punchouts in a start this season. The veteran hurler has had his share of struggles this season, but he's managed to hang on to a rotation spot in part due to a positive 3-2 record. Beyond that, Buehler hasn't been an appealing fantasy asset, registering a 5.01 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 37:14 K:BB across 41.1 innings spanning nine starts.

Solid six innings in no-decision Buehler did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on three hits and no walks over six innings against the Cardinals. He struck out two.
Impact Buehler was locked in from the start, retiring the first 11 Cardinals hitters he faced before allowing an Alec Burleson single and a Jordan Walker two-run homer in the fourth inning, the lone blemishes on the hurler's line. The right-hander tied a season low with just two strikeouts, but the lack of whiffs didn't prevent Buehler from turning in one of his better starts of the season. The 31-year-old will carry a 5.20 ERA and 1.35 WHIP with a 31:12 K:BB across 36.1 innings (eight starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Saturday against the Mariners.
