The 28-year-old had the second and third RBI of the game to make the score within reach for the monster eighth inning where the Royals took a 9-5 lead. Reinstated from IL The Royals reinstated Pasquantino (wrist) from the 10-day injured list Monday.
Impact Kansas City will get two major lineup pieces back ahead of a four-game series versus the Athletics, as third baseman Maikel Garcia (hand) was also activated from the IL. Pasquantino ended up spending just under three weeks on the shelf due to soreness in his right wrist, the same hand he previously required surgery for June 14 to address a broken hamate bone. Though Pasquantino should be available to play on a near-everyday basis as the regular season winds down, fantasy managers may want to temper expectations for his power production as he works to regain full strength in his wrist.

Starts rehab assignment Wednesday Pasquantino (wrist) went 1-for-5 with Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday.
Impact After Tuesday's contest was rained out, Pasquantino began his rehab assignment with Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday and played the full game at first base as he works his way back from right wrist soreness. Per MLB.com, the Royals hope to have the 28-year-old play in five games this week, which would put him on track to return to the big-league roster Monday, though those plans might not be set in stone. Pasquantino is slashing .232/.318/.345 with six homers, 33 RBI, 34 runs and four stolen bases across 336 plate appearances this season.

Heading out on rehab stint Pasquantino (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.
Impact Pasquantino, who landed on the 10-day injured list July 29 due to wrist soreness, should only need a handful of at-bats at Triple-A before being activated from the shelf. If all goes according to plan, it seems likely that he'll be back with the big-league club before the end of the week.

Could begin rehab stint Tuesday Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Pasquantino (wrist) may begin a minor-league rehab assignment Tuesday, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.
Impact Pasquantino landed on the IL due to right wrist soreness July 29. The first baseman underwent surgery in mid-June to remove a fractured hamate bone, and the soreness was presumably related to that procedure. However, Pasquantino appears to be doing better with some time off, and if he does indeed begin a rehab stint Tuesday, he could be back with Kansas City shortly thereafter.
