First career MLB win Mederos (1-0) was credited with the win Thursday over the Nationals, giving up one run on one hit and one walk in one inning of relief. He didn't strike out a batter.

Impact The 25-year-old right-hander got the final out of the sixth inning, making him the pitcher of record when Atlanta broke a 3-3 tie with two runs in the bottom of the frame, but Mederos nearly handed the lead back in the top of the seventh by walking James Wood and then serving up a triple to Luis Garcia. It was his first career victory in the big leagues, and over nine appearances and 13.1 innings this season he's put together a 4.05 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 11:4 K:BB while mainly working in a low-leverage role.

Steps up for first career save Mederos secured the save Monday against San Diego, allowing one hits and one walk in 2.1 scoreless innings. He struck out one.

Impact Closer Raisel Iglesias worked each of the past two days for Atlanta, but Mederos stepped up in a high-leverage spot Monday for his first career save. The 25-year-old right-hander has almost exclusively handled low-leverage work in 2026 and shouldn't be expected to see many more save chances in the future, though he does hold an excellent 0.96 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 7:2 K:BB over 9.1 innings.

Rejoins major-league club Atlanta recalled Mederos from Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday.

Impact Atlanta is swapping in Mederos for Connor Thomas, who was needed for 3.2 innings out of the bullpen in Tuesday's loss to the Pirates. Mederos made one two-inning scoreless appearance for Atlanta earlier this season and holds a 5.40 ERA and 39:22 K:BB over 43.1 frames at the Triple-A level in 2026.

JULY 8 • ROTOWIRE

Dispatched to Triple-A Atlanta optioned Mederos to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.

Impact Mederos covered two scoreless frames in Wednesday's win over the Marlins, but he's being sent out in favor of a fresh bullpen arm. Carlos Carrasco is absorbing Mederos' spot on the active roster.

Recalled from Triple-A Atlanta recalled Mederos from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Impact Mederos will give Atlanta some length in the bullpen following Monday's blowout loss in Miami. The 24-year-old holds a 4.81 ERA and 1.48 WHIP with 21 strikeouts across 24.1 innings this season with Gwinnett.

MAY 19 • ROTOWIRE

Promotion incoming Mederos is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett ahead of Tuesday's game against the Marlins, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

Impact This promotion isn't official just yet, and Atlanta would need to make a corresponding move to make room on the active roster for Mederos. The 24-year-old, who was traded to Atlanta from the Angels in April in exchange for international bonus pool money, has worked to a 4.81 ERA and 1.48 WHIP with 21 strikeouts across 24.1 innings this season at Triple-A.

APRIL 4 • BATTERYPOWER.COM

Sent to Atlanta Atlanta acquired Mederos from the Angels on Friday in exchange for international bonus pool money and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Impact The right-hander was waived by the Halos last weekend and is now headed to a new organization. Mederos appeared in five games (three starts) for Anaheim last year and had a 7.41 ERA and 14:12 K:BB over 17 innings, though he was more effective at Triple-A with a 3.39 ERA and 1.34 WHIP across 16 starts.

APRIL 3 • ROTOWIRE

DFA'd by Halos The Angels designated Mederos for assignment Sunday.

Impact The right-hander missed out on the Opening Day roster and will lose his place on the 40-man roster after he surrendered seven earned runs over three frames in his season debut for Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday. Mederos could remain with Salt Lake if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

MARCH 29 • ROTOWIRE

Cut from big-league camp The Angels optioned Mederos to Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.

Impact Mederos entered the spring facing long odds to win a spot in the Angels' Opening Day rotation and didn't help his case by yielding six earned runs on seven hits and four walks across 4.1 innings between his two Cactus League outings. The right-hander should continue to make regular starts at Salt Lake to begin the season but won't necessarily be the Angels' first choice for a call-up if a spot in the big-league rotation opens up.

MARCH 11 • ROTOWIRE

Fully healthy after shoulder issue Mederos is without restrictions in Angels camp after finishing last season on the injured list with right shoulder soreness, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.

Impact Mederos missed the final month-plus of the 2025 campaign but began his normal offseason throwing routine in mid-October. The 24-year-old made five appearances (three starts) for the Angels last season, yielding 14 runs with a 14:12 K:BB over 17 frames. Mederos is unlikely to crack the Opening Day roster but could be one of the first arms called upon when the Angels need a starter.
