Dealt back to Seattle The Mariners acquired Cummings from the Rays on Friday in exchange for Casey Legumina, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Impact Cummings was a seventh-round pick by Seattle in 2023 and was sent to Tampa Bay as part of the Randy Arozarena trade in 2024. Cummings pitched at three different levels of the minors last season, logging a 3.29 ERA and 6.7 K/9 across 123 innings.

Acquired by Tampa Bay The Rays acquired Cummings from the Mariners on Friday to complete the July 26 trade which sent Randy Arozarena to Seattle, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Impact Cummings, 22, was a seventh-round pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft and posted a 4.17 ERA and 124:46 K:BB over 116.2 innings with High-A Everett this season in his pro debut. The Rays also received outfielder Aidan Smith and pitcher Brody Hopkins in the trade.
