May need another rehab start
Yesavage (shoulder) could make another rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo before coming off the injured list, Max Ralph of MLB.com reports.
Impact
The 22-year-old right-hander built up to 64 pitches in his most recent outing Tuesday but was far from sharp, giving up four runs (two earned) on two hits and four walks over 2.1 innings while striking out two. The Blue Jays would like Yesavage to reach about 75 pitches before adding him to the big-league rotation. If he remains at Buffalo for another turn, Patrick Corbin and Eric Lauer will each get another chance to state their case for remaining in the rotation once Yesavage is activated.

Slated for rehab start Tuesday
Yesavage (shoulder) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Per Mitch, Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Friday that there was some uncertainty as to whether Yesavage will join the team next week in Los Angeles. It looks like the 22-year-old right-hander will get at least one more start in the minors, and Patrick Corbin's strong start Thursday against the Brewers may have factored into that decision. Assuming Yesavage doesn't suffer any setbacks in his next rehab start, he could rejoin the team next weekend at home against the Guardians or the following week against the Red Sox in Toronto. In Yesavage's last rehab start with Buffalo on Wednesday, he allowed three runs on seven hits (including two homers) and one walk while striking out five across 4.1 innings.

Impact
Yesavage built up to 71 pitches in his most recent rehab start Wednesday at Triple-A Buffalo, putting him on track to handle 85-90 pitches his next time out. While the 22-year-old's workload is where it needs to be, Yesavage's average fastball velocity of 93.3 mph Wednesday was a tick below last year's 94.8 mph mark, and his command wasn't quite there either. Patrick Corbin's effective performance Thursday may encourage Toronto to give Yesavage one more rehab outing rather than rushing him back to the majors.

Fans five in rehab start
Yesavage (shoulder) gave up three earned runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five batters across 4.1 innings during his rehab start at Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday.
Impact
Although Yesavage was roughed up a bit, manager John Schneider said the 22-year-old righty "looked like himself" Wednesday while averaging 93.3 mph with his fastball, per Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca. He threw 71 pitches (42 strikes) in what is expected to be his final rehab start before coming off the IL, which lines him up to make his season debut against the Angels next week.

Will make another rehab start
Yesavage (shoulder) is scheduled to make another rehab start Tuesday or Wednesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Impact
The exact details of Yesavage's next start will depend on the weather, but if all goes well it's expected to be his final rehab outing before rejoining the Blue Jays' rotation. Yesavage allowed four runs over 2.2 innings in his most recent rehab start with Single-A Dunedin, though he did strike out six batters. The plan is to get his pitch count up to around 70 in next week's outing, which would set Savage up for a relatively normal workload when he rejoins the big club. Yesavage has been working his way back from a right shoulder impingement.

Next rehab outing coming Thursday
Yesavage (shoulder) is slated to make his second rehab start Thursday with Single-A Dunedin, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Impact
Yesavage checked out fine after a bullpen session Monday, prompting the Blue Jays to clear him for another rehab outing in the Florida State League. After he didn't pitch at all during the Grapefruit League while recovering from a right shoulder impingement, Yesavage struck out three and allowed one earned run on one hit and one walk over 2.2 innings in his first rehab start with Dunedin last Friday. He threw 44 pitches in that outing and is expected to push his count up to around 60-to-65 pitches Thursday, per Zwelling.
