Solid in third win
Rogers (3-6) earned the win Thursday over the Red Sox, allowing a run on five hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out three.
Impact
The Orioles provided Rogers with more than enough run support Thursday, scoring six runs before the southpaw took the mound in the first inning. Rogers certainly did his part as well, blanking the Red Sox over five innings before allowing a lone run on a Willson Contreras two-out single in the sixth. It's certainly an encouraging effort from Rogers, who hadn't held opponents to fewer than four runs in any of his last four starts -- he'd struggled to a 10.44 ERA across 25 innings in his previous six outings. Rogers will carry a 6.29 ERA with a 1.51 WHIP and 41:19 K:BB into his next start, tentatively scheduled to come next week at home against the Mariners.

Quality start ends in seventh frame
Rogers did not factor into Friday's decision against the Blue Jays, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three across six innings.
Impact
Rogers was in complete command for most of Friday's start, giving up just three baserunners through the first six innings. He was brought back out for the seventh, but that decision backfired on the Orioles as Rogers proceeded to give up two-run home runs to both Kazuma Okamoto and Charles McAdoo without recording an out. It ruined what would have otherwise been Roger's fourth quality start of the season and first since April 7 against the White Sox. He has given up at least four earned runs in six of his seven starts since his early-April outing against the White Sox, which has Rogers sitting at a 6.84 ERA and 1.56 WHIP over 48.2 innings. His next start is slated for next week against the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Rough outing in loss
Rogers (2-6) allowed four runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two over 4.2 innings to take the loss in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader versus the Tigers.
Impact
Rogers took his sixth straight loss, and he's allowed at least three runs in each of those outings. He's been rough in May, giving up 18 runs (17 earned) over 12.1 innings across three starts. For the season, he's at a 6.96 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 35:17 K:BB through 42.2 innings over nine starts. Rogers is tentatively projected for a home start versus the Blue Jays his next time out.

Struggles once again
Rogers (2-5) was tagged with the loss Monday against the Mets after allowing eight runs (seven earned) on eight hits and two walks across 3.2 innings. He struck out three.
Impact
Rogers was tagged with the loss for a fifth straight start, and this was the third consecutive outing in which he couldn't pitch past the fourth inning. The struggles are real for the seven-year veteran, who owns a ballooned 11.84 ERA and a 2.26 WHIP over that five-game stretch while posting a 19:10 K:BB through 19 frames. Rogers is scheduled to make his next start during the weekend series against the Tigers, and while there's no talk of him being removed from the rotation for the time being, it's hard to justify his spot with the way he's been pitching over the last few weeks.

Hit hard in return Tuesday
Rogers (2-4) took the loss Tuesday as the Orioles were downed 6-2 by the Yankees, coughing up six runs on six hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out three.
Impact
Activated from the injured list earlier in the day after recovering from a bad bout of the flu, Rogers served up a leadoff homer to Paul Goldschmidt before completely unraveling in the fifth inning, with New York's five-run rally capped by a Trent Grisham three-run blast. Rogers' velocity looked good early, as he topped out at 95.3 mph with his fastball, but it cratered in his final frame, prompting his removal after 73 pitches (46 strikes). It's been a tough 2026 so far for the southpaw, and through seven outings he carries a 5.77 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 30:13 K:BB through 34.1 innings, and he hasn't won a game since April 1. Rogers will try to regain both his form and his stamina in his next start, which lines up to come on the road early next week in Tampa Bay.

Reinstated, starting Tuesday
The Orioles activated Rogers (illness) from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday's game against the Yankees.
Impact
The left-hander will end up spending just one day beyond the 15-day minimum on the injured list after recovering from the flu. After delivering quality starts in each of his first three outings of the campaign, Rogers labored to a 9.53 ERA and 2.12 WHIP in his last three starts before landing on the shelf. The 28-year-old threw a simulated bullpen session Saturday and is rejoining Baltimore's rotation with a rehab assignment, so the club could be cognizant of his workload Tuesday.
