Alex Verdugo - Feeling banged up Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Verdugo's absence from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays is a result of the outfielder being "a little beat up," Chris Kirschner o...
Impact Boone didn't go into any specifics regarding the nature of Verdugo's injury, merely noting that he expects the 28-year-old to be "all right" moving forward. Verdugo might just be tending to some general soreness while he's been used heavily of late, as he had started in each of the Yankees' last 34 games. With a day out of the lineup Sunday and a team off day Monday, Verdugo will most likely be ready to go for the start of the Yankees' three-games series with the Angels on Tuesday.

Leo Jimenez - Moving to bench Sunday Jimenez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.
Impact Jimenez will exit the starting nine for the series finale in New York while the Blue Jays open up a spot on the left side of the infield for Luis De Los Santos, who will cover third base in his first MLB start. Ernie Clement will slide over to shortstop in place of Jimenez, who has served as the Blue Jays' primary option at the position since Bo Bichette (calf) landed on the shelf July 20. Jimenez hasn't offered much to get excited about from a fantasy perspective, as he's slashing .143/.196/.167 with zero home runs or stolen bases in 15 games since the All-Star break.

George Springer - Getting rest in series finale Springer is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.
Impact Springer will hit the bench for the series finale after going 1-for-8 with one walk and one run in the first two games in The Bronx. Addison Barger will fill in for Springer in right field.

Ian Hamilton - Increasing intensity of throwing Hamilton (lat) is scheduled to throw a high-intensity bullpen session Tuesday, per MLB.com.
Impact Hamilton is recovering from the lat strain he suffered in mid-June. The righty reliever resumed throwing in early July but has yet to face live hitters. That could be his next step if Tuesday's session goes well, and Hamilton may be able to begin a minor-league rehab assignment within the next two weeks with a goal of rejoining the Yankees in late August or early September.

Jon Berti - Running at 80 percent Berti (calf) has increased his running intensity to 80 percent, and Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Saturday that the utility man is "trending back in a good direction," per MLB.c...
Impact Berti has been on the injured list since late May after suffering a left calf strain. He resumed running in late July and has since upped his intensity, though he remains without a definite timeline for a return. Boone did mention Saturday that Berti is closer than Anthony Rizzo (forearm) to rejoining the Yankees, according to the Associated Press.
