Impact The 26-year-old threw 41 pitches over two innings during Game 7 of the NLCS against the Braves on Sunday, so he'll be taking the mound on two days' rest. Gonsolin figures to be on a fairly short leash, and Dustin May and Julio Urias (both of whom also pitched in Game 7) will be available as well, according to Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register. Gonsolin has labored in his two postseason outings, giving up seven runs on five hits with eight strikeouts and six walks over 6.1 innings.

Charged with Game 2 loss Gonsolin allowed five runs on three hits and three walks while striking out seven over 4.1 innings Tuesday as he was charged with the loss in Game 2 of the NLCS against Atlanta.
Impact Gonsolin started Game 2 on short notice and held Atlanta's potent offense in check over the first three innings. However, he faltered over the fourth and fifth innings prior to his removal. The right-hander was forced to settle for the loss in his first postseason appearance, but he had a relatively high strikeout rate during his start. It's unclear whether Gonsolin could start later in the postseason.
