Grabs rare save
Hill recorded his second save of the season Sunday against the Blue Jays, allowing one hit and one unearned run over one inning.
Impact
After David Bednar blew the save in the ninth inning, Hill was called upon to protect a two-run lead in the 10th. He allowed a single that brought home the automatic runner before retiring the next two batters to close out the victory. The save was a welcome result for Hill, who entered Sunday having allowed six earned runs across his previous 7.1 innings. On the season, the left-hander owns a 4.53 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 21:11 K:BB across 47.2 innings to go along with a 4-2 record and nine holds.

Nabs win in relief Tuesday
Hill (4-2) earned the win over Seattle on Tuesday after retiring all four batters he faced.
Impact
Hill entered with two outs in the sixth inning with the Mariners up 1-0. He ended that frame by inducing a groundout, then got three more groundouts in the top of the seventh. Hill subsequently moved into position for the victory when New York scored four times in the bottom of the inning. The left-hander had given up four runs over his previous five outings spanning 4.1 frames, so he'll look to use Tuesday's strong appearance as a catalyst to getting back on track. On the season, Hill holds a 4.40 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 20:10 K:BB across 45 innings over 53 relief outings while notching nine holds and one save.

Serves up another long ball Sunday
Hill was charged with a blown save Sunday against the Nationals, as he gave up one run on one hit while striking out one batter over two-thirds of an inning.
Impact
Hill took the mound in the sixth inning following starter Will Warren, who tossed five frames of one-run ball. After Hill struck out the first batter he faced, he then gave up a game-tying solo home run to Curtis Mead. Sunday marked the third time over Hill's past five outings that he's given up at least one homer, and he's yielded four total runs across 4.2 innings during that span. The lefty reliever concludes the first half with a 4.50 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB while notching eight holds over 36 innings spanning 43 appearances.

Nabs win Sunday
Hill (3-2) earned the win over the Red Sox on Sunday with a perfect inning of work.
Impact
Hill entered in the eighth inning with the game tied 1-1. He retired the side in order on 11 pitches, then watched New York's offense put up five runs in the bottom of the frame to move him into position for the victory. Hill had been struggling badly coming into Sunday, allowing six runs over 2.2 innings across his past three appearances. He'll look to use Sunday's clean frame as a catalyst for a turnaround.
