Beginning rehab assignment Tuesday Mayza (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Impact Mayza threw a pair of bullpen sessions this week and has been cleared to return to game action at the minor-league level. Manager Charlie Montoyo said this week that he wasn't sure whether Mayza would require a rehab assignment, so it's possible that the 30-year-old rejoins the Blue Jays following just one appearance in Buffalo.
