Impact Pham hurt his hand in a collision during Tuesday's loss to the Guardians, and he'll remain out of the lineup for a second straight game. Whether he'll be available off the bench remains to be seen, but Aristides Aquino will start in left field and bat sixth.

Getting tests on hand Manager David Bell said Wednesday that the Reds plan to send Pham in for more tests on his injured left hand, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Impact Though initial X-rays cleared Pham of any structural damage to the hand he hurt in a collision with teammate Nick Senzel in Tuesday's loss to the Guardians, the outfielder could require an MRI and/or a CT scan for the Reds to properly diagnose his injury. Senzel avoided any injury in the collision, but both he and Pham will be out of the lineup for Wednesday's series finale, opening up spots in the outfield for Aristides Aquino and Jake Fraley.

Impact Pham and Nick Senzel were involved in an outfield collision Tuesday in the Reds' 10-5 loss and both will sit out Wednesday's series finale, though at this stage, only Pham is reported to have suffered an injury as a result of the play. Fortunately for Pham, X-rays on his left hand returned negative, leaving the Reds optimistic he won't require a stint on the injured list. With Pham and Senzel sitting Wednesday, Cincinnati will roll out an outfield of Aristides Aquino, Jake Fraley and Tyler Naquin from left to right.

X-rays return negative Pham had X-rays on his left hand come back negative after leaving Tuesday's game against the Guardians, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Impact The 34-year-old suffered the injury on a collision with teammate Nick Senzel in the outfield, but it doesn't appear to be a serious issue. Pham went 0-for-2 prior to his exit and and remains hitless through five games with the Reds, so an off day for Wednesday's series finale versus Cleveland could prove beneficial regardless of the injury.

Impact Pham appeared to be holding his wrist after the third-inning collision, though neither player left the game right away. Pham played another inning in the field and took his at-bat in the bottom of the fourth, grounding into a double play. He was replaced in left field for the top of the fifth by Aristides Aquino, who could see more starts if Pham is forced to miss time.
