Impact Diaz delivered a two-RBI single in the second inning to account for most of his damage. It was his third multi-hit performance across 14 games in August, and he's now hitting .283 with five RBI and eight runs scored for the month. Diaz won't replicate his breakout 2023 season, though he has brought his average back up to .273 after a very slow start to the campaign.

Impact The second baseman wrapped up the scoring on the night by taking Dylan Floro deep in the sixth inning. Lowe has found his power stroke since the All-Star break -- he has 15 homers on the season but seven have come in his last 25 games, a stretch in which he's slashing .258/.321/.567 with nine doubles, four steals, 14 runs and 20 RBI.

Junior Caminero - On base three times in win Caminero went 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
Impact The 21-year-old has hit the ground running, literally and figuratively, since being called up Tuesday. Over four games, Caminero is batting .385 (5-for-13) with a 3:3 BB:K, and he's also gone 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts, a surprising performance considering he'd gone only 1-for-2 in 53 games this season at Triple-A and has never swiped more than seven bags in a minor-league season. He did register a sprint speed in the 83rd percentile during his time in the majors in 2023, however, and with the Rays making the running game a point of emphasis -- they went 4-for-4 as a team on steal attempts Saturday, and sit fourth in MLB and first in the AL with 141 SBs on the season -- the top prospect could have more to offer on the basepaths. Caminero is still looking for his first extra-base hit since his promotion, but it should come soon enough considering his .222 ISO for Triple-A Durham.

Jeffrey Springs - Sharp in first win of 2024 Springs (1-1) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over five innings in a 6-1 victory over the Diamondbacks. He struck out seven.
Impact The southpaw has yet to work more than five innings or throw more than 87 pitches in his four starts since returning from Tommy John surgery in late July, but Springs appears to be rounding into form quickly. Over his last two outings, both against playoff-caliber foes in Baltimore and Arizona, the 31-year-old has dazzled with a 15:1 K:BB in 10 innings while giving up just a single run in each start. Springs will look to keep rolling in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Oakland.
