Impact Bivens was optioned to Double-A Richmond following his last MLB appearance Aug. 4, but he was later promoted to Triple-A for his most recent outing, during which he allowed two earned runs in one inning. He'll now rejoin San Francisco to give the Giants a multi-inning option out of the bullpen while Randy Rodriguez (elbow) is on the injured list.
