Nick Pivetta - Increases throwing distance Pivetta (forearm) progressed to throwing from 90 feet with some intensity June 10, per MLB.com.

Impact Pivetta has been on the shelf due to a right flexor strain since mid-April. He resumed a throwing program by playing catch May 29 and has since ramped up his throwing distance and intensity, though he's yet to get back on a mound. Pivetta still has several obstacles to clear and isn't likely to return to the Padres' rotation until sometime after the All-Star break.

Luis Campusano - Still awaiting rehab assignment Campusano (toe) continues to rehab in Arizona but hasn't yet been scheduled for a minor-league rehab stint, per MLB.com.

Impact Campusano has now been out over a month after fracturing a toe on his left foot in early May. The backstop has been catching pitches and swinging pain-free since late May, but San Diego hasn't yet sent him out on a rehab assignment. Fellow backstop Freddy Fermin exited Saturday's contest against Baltimore after being hit by a warmup pitch near the back of the head, so the only healthy catcher on San Diego's 26-man roster at the moment is Rodolfo Duran.

Xander Bogaerts - Removed following HBP Bogaerts was hit in the head by a pitch during Saturday's win over the Orioles and ultimately left the game, Byron Kerr of MLB.com reports.

Impact Bogaerts took a 93.5 mph sinker from Trey Gibson off his helmet in the top of the fifth inning and subsequently went down on his hands and knees. He was able to stay in the game and eventually came around to score on a sacrifice fly, but the veteran shortstop was then switched out for on defense in the bottom of the sixth frame. Manager Craig Stammen said after the victory that Bogaerts was initially feeling fine but then "started not feeling as good" before he was pulled, per 97.3 The Fan. Stammen added that the team will evaluate Bogaerts throughout the remainder of the day and night, which will help determine if he'll be able to play Sunday.

Freddy Fermin - Exits after blow from warmup pitch Fermin was struck in the catcher's mask by a warmup pitch from Yuki Matsui during Saturday's game against Baltimore and subsequently departed the contest, Byron Kerr of MLB.com rep...

Impact Matsui's pitch before the beginning of bottom of the sixth inning bounced in front of the plate and appeared to hit Fermin near the back of his head. He was examined by the Padres' trainer, and the decision was made to remove him from the contest. Rodolfo Duran entered in Fermin's stead and would be in line to take over as San Diego's primary catcher if Fermin needs to sit out for any period of time.

Ryan Helsley - Impressive rehab outing Helsley pitched one inning with two strikeouts and no hits allowed for Triple-A Norfolk in his second rehab outing, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Impact Helsley completed his second rehab appearance for Norfolk and impressed after recording a 1-2-3 inning on just 14 pitches. Baltimore has missed the right hander's presence in the back-end of the bullpen since he was placed on the injured list May 1. Before being placed on the IL, Helsley posted a 2.53 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB in 10.2 innings.
