Chicago White Sox catcher Kyle Teel has tweaked his right knee while playing for Triple-A Charlotte on a minor league rehab assignment

Pulled from rehab stint Berroa is dealing with right elbow inflammation and will have his rehab stint paused, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.

Impact Berroa underwent Tommy John surgery last March and was just recently cleared to begin a rehab assignment. He begin that stint with Chicago's ACL club Wednesday but threw only four pitches (all balls) before being removed. Berroa has since been diagnosed with right elbow inflammation, and it's unclear when he'll be able to resume throwing.

Aggravates injury Berroa (elbow) was pulled from his rehab outing with the ACL White Sox after only four pitches Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Impact Berroa is returning from Tommy John surgery, but was pulled in his first rehab outing after throwing four consecutive balls. The White Sox haven't specified that the current issue is an aggravation of his elbow injury, but he isn't likely to return until at least late June or early July at this point.

Kicking off rehab assignment Berroa (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment Wednesday in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Impact Advancing to a rehab assignment represents the final stage of the recovery process for Berroa as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery, which he underwent March 7, 2025. The White Sox are likely to keep Berroa in the minors for close to the entirety of his allotted 30-day rehab window, so he shouldn't be expected to return from the 60-day injured list until early June. During his last healthy season with Chicago in 2024, Berroa made 17 appearances out of the bullpen and logged a 3.32 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 26:13 K:BB over 19 innings.

Berroa continues to recover from Tommy John surgery that he underwent in March of 2025. By being moved to the 60-day IL, the earliest he can make his 2026 regular-season debut is late May.
