Placed on injured list
Goodrum landed on the 10-day injured list with a left finger tendon injury Saturday.
Impact
Goodrum left Friday's game against the Angels due to the issue, which is evidently serious enough to shut him down for at least 10 days. The Tigers have yet to specify when they expect him to return. Isaac Paredes was recalled in a corresponding move.

Launches solo shot
Goodrum went 2-for-4 with a home run and two additional RBI in Monday's win over the Royals.
Impact
Goodrum was one of two Detroit players that recorded multiple hits in this one, but he also made his presence felt in other categories as well. This contest ended a four-game slump for Goodrum, and this was also his first multi-hit game since May 24. It was also the first time he homered since May 1, when he did it against the Yankees. He now has five homers on the season.

Enters lineup Sunday
Goodrum is starting at shortstop and batting fifth in Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Impact
Goodrum didn't start Friday or Saturday, but he'll reenter the lineup Sunday. The team has recently given Isaac Paredes time at shortstop, though he's starting at third base Sunday. Goodrum has struggled offensively with a .203/.286/.305 line, so it's possible he's out of the lineup more frequently moving forward unless he gets going at the plate.

Out of Saturday's lineup
Goodrum is not in Saturday's lineup against the White Sox, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Impact
For the second day in a row, Isaac Paredes will draw the start at shortstop while Goodrum heads to the bench. He is hitting .107 with 10 strikeouts in 28 at-bats this month, but he has also chipped in three steals over that stretch.

Swipes 10th base Tuesday
Goodrum went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the White Sox.
Impact
Goodrum hasn't done much offensively this season, batting just .223 with a .643 OPS, though at least he's been able to provide 10 stolen bases in 13 attempts. The 29-year-old reached double figures in both steals and home runs in 2018 and 2019, so he could offer a nice mix of speed and power the rest of the way, though he figures to remain a drain on batting average for fantasy managers, as he's never batted better than .248 in a season.

Doubles, scores in close win
Goodrum went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Wednesday's 1-0 win over Cleveland.
Impact
Goodrum led off the bottom of the eighth inning with a double, then came around to score the game's lone run two batters later on a sacrifice fly. The versatile 29-year-old is now batting .233 this season with 21 runs scored in 40 games, and his greatest fantasy asset remains his eligibility at multiple positions more so than his actual production.

Heads to bench
Goodrum is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Cleveland.
Impact
Goodrum has played a fairly heavy role in Detroit this season, starting 37 of the team's 48 games thus far. He's hitting just .231/.329/.362, but there aren't any imminent threats to his playing time on the roster at the moment. Harold Castro starts at shortstop Tuesday.
