Heading back to minors The Cardinals optioned Raquet to Triple-A Memphis on Friday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Impact Raquet was unscored upon in his first two major-league appearances this week, but he'll now head back to Memphis. John King (back) has returned from the 15-day injured list to take Raquet's roster spot.

Contract selected The Cardinals selected Raquet's contract from Triple-A Memphis on Monday.

Impact The 29-year-old southpaw reliever earned a promotion after posting a 1.68 ERA and 57:9 K:BB over 48.1 innings between Double-A Springfield and Memphis. Raquet will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.

Expected to join Cardinals' bullpen Raquet is expected to have his contract selected from Triple-A Memphis on Monday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Impact Raquet has produced a 4.05 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 19 strikeouts over 13.1 innings in 11 appearances with Triple-A Memphis this season. The 29-year-old has yet to make his MLB debut, which could come in the Cardinals' three-game series in Seattle beginning Monday.
