Impact Furman is back up with the Giants after being demoted Aug. 14. He'll man second base and bat sixth during Monday's series opener after San Francisco made a flurry of roster moves, which included placing Willy Adames (elbow) on the injured list and Bryce Eldridge on the bereavement list.

Called up by San Francisco The Giants selected Furman's contract from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Impact The move corresponds with the Giants placing Jesus Rodriguez (elbow) on the 10-day injured list. Furman has spent the entire 2026 season in Triple-A, where he is slashing .284/.370/.405 with 18 steals (in 23 chances), seven home runs, 42 RBI and 22 doubles across 434 plate appearances. His first appearance in a Giants' uniform will officially mark his major-league debut.

Makes season debut at Double-A Furman (shoulder) has gone 4-for-12 with three walks, two RBI and a run scored in four games for Double-A Richmond since being reinstated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Impact Furman reached the Double-A level as a member of the Guardians organization last summer before landing on the IL in late June with a shoulder strain and then getting traded to the Giants just under a couple months later. He didn't make his debut with the Giants organization until shortly after the All-Star break this season, when he began a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League. He eventually shifted his assignment to Single-A San Jose and then High-A Eugene, slashing a collective .363/.496/.648 over 27 games with the three affiliates before finally getting cleared to debut for the Double-A club this past week.
