Back in action at High-A Bleis (quadricep) is slashing .161/.257/.387 with two home runs, two stolen bases and 10 RBI in eight games since making his season debut for High-A Greenville on April 9.

Impact Though Greenville never officially placed Bleis on the injured list, the 21-year-old outfielder didn't play in any of the team's first four games while he tended to a minor quad injury. Since being cleared to make his 2025 debut, Bleis has performed at a below-league-average level (81 wRC+) while striking out at a 34.3 percent clip.

Sidelined with quad injury Bleis is sidelined to start the season at High-A Greenville with a minor quadriceps injury, Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline reports.

Impact Bleis will open the year on the 7-day injured list, but it sounds like he'll be active in weeks, not months. Injuries have impacted Bleis' development thus far, as 2024 was his first year playing over 50 games in a season, and he has yet to play 100 games in a season. The toolsy outfielder hit .190 (.219 BABIP) with seven home runs and 22 steals in 52 games at High-A last year.

Done for season Bleis needs left shoulder surgery and will miss the rest of the season, Chris Henrique of Beyond The Monster reports.

Impact The 19-year-old outfielder will head into the offseason with a .230/.282/.325 slash line, one home run and 11 steals in 31 games in his first exposure to full-season pitching. Given the middling production and long layoff, his dynasty value will be trending down over the next year, but Bleis still has very loud tools and will return to Single-A Salem for his age-20 season.
