Maikel Garcia Is Flashing His Potential Down in Omaha The Royals’ shortstop prospect is putting up some very respectable numbers in Triple-A.

Impact With Kansas City welcoming Hunter Dozier (personal) back from the paternity list, Garcia will head back to the minors to play on a more regular basis. Across multiple brief stints in the big leagues this season, Garcia has gone 7-for-22 with two RBI and a run over nine games.

Impact Garcia will move up a level to begin 2022 after he split time between Low-A Columbia and High-A Quad Cities last season. Over 244 plate appearances for the latter affiliate, the 22-year-old infielder posted a .354 on-base average and went 11-for-14 on stolen-base attempts.
