Impact Just a day after earning a two-out save, Trivino was able to pick up another one Sunday. The righty entered with a two-run cushion, but did allow two runners to get into scoring position before inducing a pop up and a strike out to get out of the jam. This was Trivino's fourth save of the season. The outing lowered his ERA to 7.17.

Impact Trivino earned a two-inning save Saturday, throwing 20 of 32 pitches for strikes. It was his third save of the season and his first since April 16. After entering this season as the primary closer for Oakland, Trivino has struggled to the tune of a 7.52 ERA, although the righty has lowered his ERA in each of his last three appearances.

Impact The right-hander has now allowed four earned runs in a relief appearance on two occasions this season, and Thursday's particularly poor effort ballooned his ERA from already ugly 6.91 to 9.20. Entrusted with preserving a 4-4 tie when he entered in the eighth inning, Trivino's nightmare of an outing saw him surrender an infield single, a bunt single on which he committed a throwing error that allowed a run to score and a two-run double. Given his unsteady form for most of the season, Trivino appears likely to be kept away from anything resembling a high-leverage situation for the time being.

Impact Trivino's first time back on the mound since April 16 with the big-league club could hardly have gone any worse, as the right-hander struggled to get outs despite the low level of competition. Trivino threw 20 pitches overall -- arguably a bit low considering how much contact he surrendered -- and he may log at least one more rehab appearance given how poorly Sunday's went.
