INJURIES

Off 40-man roster Davidson cleared waivers Wednesday and was sent outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Impact Davidson spent most of his time in Triple-A this season, slashing .252/.387/.399 with 10 homers, 51 RBI, 60 runs and seven steals across 94 minor-league games. Now that he no longer has a place on the Angels' 40-man roster, he'll likely need to impress during spring training to reclaim a spot.

Impact Davidson will head down to Triple-A to make room for Nolan Schanuel (wrist) to be activated from the injured list. Since being called up Sept. 4, Davidson has gone 4-for-22 (.182) with a home run and ten strikeouts.
SEPTEMBER 19 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting in second straight Davidson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Impact Davidson had started at first base in five straight games from last Wednesday through Sunday, but he went just 3-for-18 with nine strikeouts during that stretch. He's now on the bench for the second time in as many days, with Oswald Peraza getting the nod at first base Wednesday. The Angels could use a three-man committee of Peraza, Davidson and Carter Kieboom at the position for the remainder of the season.
SEPTEMBER 17 • ROTOWIRE
Making fifth straight start Davidson will start at first base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Mariners.
Impact Davidson will draw his fifth straight start at first base after going 3-for-15 with a home run and a double over the past four games. The Angels appear content to give Davidson a look in a near-everyday role at the position until Nolan Schanuel (wrist) is cleared to make his return from the injured list.

Pops first homer Davidson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 7-6 extra-innings loss to the Mariners.
Impact This was Davidson's first multi-hit effort as an Angel. He's gone 3-for-11 with three strikeouts over six games since he was claimed off waivers from the Astros. Davidson is filling a part-time role to help cover the absence of Nolan Schanuel (wrist) at first base -- Oswald Peraza has also gotten time at the position. The switch hitting Davidson has one homer, three RBI, three runs scored and no stolen bases over 15 big-league games between the Angels and Athletics this season.

Added to big-league roster The Angels recalled Davidson from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.
Impact Davidson was claimed off waivers from the Astros on Wednesday and will report to the major-league club. The 27-year-old has spent the bulk of this season at the Triple-A level, slashing .250/.385/.395 with 10 homers and seven steals. Davidson can play all over the diamond, but his best chance at immediate playing time is at first base, where Nolan Schanuel (wrist) remains shelved.
SEPTEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Catches on with Halos The Angels claimed Davidson off waivers from the Astros on Wednesday.
Impact Davidson will move on to his third organization of the season, after Houston previously claimed him off waivers from the Athletics on July 25. The 27-year-old corner infielder has played in just nine career games at the big-league level, but the Angels could give him a look at some point in September as the organization looks to better assess how he fits into their long-term plans. Between his stops at the Triple-A affiliates of the Athletics and Astros this season, Davidson has slashed .252/.387/.399 with 10 home runs, seven stolen bases and a 17.2 percent walk rate over 419 plate appearances.
SEPTEMBER 3 • ROTOWIRE
Cast off 40-man Davidson was designated for assignment Monday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact This is the corresponding move for Luis Garcia (elbow) getting activated from the 60-day injured list. Davidson is hitting .207 with a 34.4 percent strikeout rate in 22 games for Triple-A Sugar Land.
SEPTEMBER 1 • ROTOWIRE
Cast off 40-man roster The Astros designated Davidson for assignment Monday.
Impact Davidson will give up his spot on the 40-man roster to right-hander Luis Garcia (elbow), who was activated from the 60-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Monday versus the Angels. Since being claimed off waivers from the Athletics in July and getting sent to Triple-A Sugar Land, Davidson is hitting .207 with a 34.4 percent strikeout rate in 22 games.
SEPTEMBER 1 • ROTOWIRE
Claimed by Astros The Astros claimed Davidson off waivers Friday.
Impact The Athletics designated Davidson for assignment Wednesday, and he'll get a fresh start within the Astros' organization. The 27-year-old went 3-for-20 with the Athletics in 2025, but he slashed .266/.414/.402 in 326 plate appearances at Triple-A Las Vegas.
JULY 25 • ROTOWIRE
Removed from 40-man roster The Athletics designated Davidson for assignment Wednesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Impact The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for Ben Bowden, whose contract was selected Wednesday. Davidson was a first-round pick back in 2019 but hasn't developed as hoped, slashing .263/.412/.397 in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League in 2025 as a 27-year-old. He does offer some positional versatility and is still young enough that Davidson might draw some interest on waivers.
JULY 23 • ROTOWIRE
Sent back to minors The Athletics optioned Davidson to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.
Impact Davidson went 3-for-20 with 12 strikeouts during his brief time with the big club. He's making room on the roster for the return of Nick Kurtz (groin) from the 10-day injured list.
