Impact St. John will cede his spot on the 40-man roster to outfielder Ender Inciarte, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Syracuse ahead of Tuesday's game against the Astros. After being claimed off waivers from the Cubs on May 10, St. John never received a call-up to New York and turned in a 4.60 ERA and 1.21 WHIP over 15.2 innings with Syracuse.

Impact New York cleared a spot for St. John on the 40-man roster by transferring Jacob deGrom (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL. Before he was optioned to Triple-A Iowa on May 1, St. John made one two-inning appearance out of the Cubs bullpen, striking out four while giving up three earned runs on three hits. He's expected to join the Mets' Triple-A affiliate in Syracuse.
