Expected to be called up Tuesday Bernal is expected to be called up from Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

Impact Bernal will make the jump to the major-league level after producing a .278 average with 16 home runs, 77 RBI, 67 runs scored and nine stolen bases over 101 contests with Triple-A Memphis so far this season. The 22-year-old has played primarily behind the plate, but he has also combined to log 30 starts at first base and designated hitter with Memphis.

The 21-year-old backstop will be ineligible for the Rule 5 Draft now that he owns a 40-man spot, and he could potentially receive a promotion to Triple-A Memphis to begin 2026.
