Six scoreless frames in win Roupp (9-13) allowed two hits and four walks while striking out two over six scoreless innings to earn the win over the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Impact Roupp has gotten back on track lately, allowing just two runs on eight hits and eight walks over his last 16 innings. He's picked up two wins in that span, which follows a stretch in which he was winless over six starts. Roupp has a 4.00 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 139:72 K:BB through 150.2 innings over 28 starts this season. The right-hander is projected to make his next start in a rematch with the Cardinals in St. Louis next week.

No-decision against Pittsburgh Roupp did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Pirates, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out four across five innings.
Impact Roupp got himself into bases-loaded situations in both the third and fourth innings, but he limited the damage to one run. He's allowed one run in back-to-back outings and three times over his last five starts, and he sits at a 4.17 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 137:68 K:BB over 144.2 innings this season. Roupp is slated to take on the Cardinals next week in what projects to be the first of a two-start week.

Snaps losing streak Thursday Roupp (8-13) completed five innings Thursday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out three batters over five innings.
Impact Roupp served up a fourth-inning solo homer to Gabriel Moreno, but that was the only time the Diamondbacks were able to score against him. The right-handed hurler did have to work to cover five frames -- he threw a total of 95 pitches (60 strikes) -- but he lasted just long enough to snap a streak of five straight losses. Roupp has had a disappointing season with a 4.25 ERA and 1.31 WHIP, but he leads San Francisco starters with an 8.6 K/9 over a team-high 26 starts.

Now slated to start Thursday Roupp has had his next scheduled start pushed back a day to Thursday versus the Diamondbacks, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact Roupp had been slated to start Wednesday's series finale against the Reds, but the Giants have elected to move Logan Webb up a day to take the ball on normal rest. The 27-year-old Roupp has struggled lately, 6.20 ERA and 17:19 K:BB over 24.2 innings covering his previous five starts.

Losing ways continue Roupp (7-13) took the loss against the Guardians on Thursday, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and four walks in 5.1 innings. He struck out two.
Impact Roupp coughed up three runs in the first inning but settled in, as Cleveland didn't score again until the sixth inning. Control remains a major issue for the right-hander, who has now walked at least three batters in five consecutive starts while posting a troubling 17:19 K:BB during that span (24.2 innings). Roupp, who has now taken a loss in five straight outings, will bring a 4.34 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 130:64 K:BB over 134.2 innings into his next scheduled appearance against the Reds.

Handed 12th loss Roupp (7-12) allowed four runs on five hits, three walks and a hit batsman while striking out five over 5.2 innings to take the loss Friday versus the Rockies.
Impact Roupp threw just 57 of 91 pitches for strikes in this outing, which was his fourth straight loss. He's been competitive in just one of those games while allowing a total of 14 runs over his last 19.1 innings with a 15:15 K:BB in that span. Overall, Roupp is at a 4.31 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 128:60 K:BB through 129.1 innings over 24 starts. While his performance is fading, the Giants lack better options to fill in as part of the rotation, so expect Roupp to make his next projected start at Cleveland.

Mixed bag in defeat Roupp (7-11) took the loss against Detroit on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and five walks while striking out three batters over 5.1 innings.
Impact Roupp's biggest flaw was his command, as evidenced by the five free passes he handed out. Despite that, the Tigers managed just one run against him, largely because Roupp gave up just two hits (both second-inning singles). The right-hander was mostly cruising until the sixth frame, when he walked three of the four batters he faced before being pulled for reliever Keaton Winn, who immediately issued a walk of his own to put a run on Roupp's ledger. Free passes have been an issue for Roupp of late -- he's handed out 12 walks to 10 punchouts across his past three starts spanning 13.2 innings. His 4.15 BB/9 is the fifth-worst mark in the majors among qualified starters and a big reason why he's sitting on a subpar 4.22 ERA through 23 starts.

Charged with 10th loss Roupp (7-10) took the loss Sunday, allowing five runs on six hits and four walks over 4.2 innings against the Padres. He struck out six.
Impact Roupp was done in by a four-run second inning, surrendering a two-run homer to Jackson Merrill while walking three batters during the frame. The right-hander has taken a step back over his past two starts, allowing four runs and taking the loss in both outings. Sporting a 4.34 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 120:52 K:BB across 118.1 innings (22 starts), Roupp will look to get back on track next weekend against the Tigers.

Surrenders four runs in loss Roupp (7-9) allowed four runs on four hits, three walks and a hit batsman while striking out one over 3.2 innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Brewers.
Impact Roupp was fine the first time through the order, but he ran into trouble in the third and fourth innings. The right-hander still pitched better in July than he did in June, allowing seven runs over 24.2 innings with a 15:8 K:BB this month. On the year, he has a 4.12 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 114:48 K:BB through 21 starts. Roupp's next start is projected to be at San Diego over the weekend.

Fans seven in no-decision Roupp didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Royals, allowing two runs on four hits over six-plus innings. He struck out seven without walking a batter.
Impact The right-hander took a shutout into the seventh inning, but manager Tony Vitello left Roupp in a little too long as he surrendered a double to Vinnie Pasquantino and a homer to Salvador Perez before being lifted. Roupp had to settle for his 10th quality start of the season and his third straight in July -- over 21 innings this month he's produced a 1.29 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Brewers.
