Chased by Mets in fifth inning Hendricks (5-7) took the loss Tuesday against the Mets, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk in 4.2 innings. He struck out two.
Impact The veteran right-hander had been cruising along until the fifth inning, when the Mets tagged him for three runs on four hits during the frame. It was still the seventh consecutive start with one walk or fewer for Hendricks, but he's fanned more than five on just one occasion during this stretch. Hendricks will bring an uninspiring 4.92 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 67:25 K:BB across 100.2 innings into his next scheduled outing, currently set to come this weekend at home versus the division-rival Mariners.

Rattled by Rangers Hendricks allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 3.2 innings in a no-decision against Texas on Wednesday.
Impact Hendricks was tagged for a run in the first inning and two more in the third. He returned for the fourth but didn't make it out of the frame, as he was pulled after giving up a run-scoring double to Josh Smith. It was the sixth time over 18 starts that Hendricks has given up at least four earned runs, though this was his first such instance since June 6. The right-hander likely won't pitch again until after the All-Star break; if that's the case, he'll finish the first half of the campaign with a mediocre 4.88 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 65:24 K:BB over 96 innings.

Allows three runs in no-decision Hendricks took a no-decision after throwing 5.1 innings, allowing three runs on four hits with no walks while striking out two, during Friday's 4-3 loss to the Blue Jays.
Impact Hendricks has continued to be a consistent innings-eater for the Angels this season. Since the calendar turned to May, the 35-year-old has worked through at least five innings and hasn't allowed more than four earned runs in any start, a streak that now spans 12 starts. Encouragingly, the right-hander kept the ball in the park, only the fifth time he hasn't allowed a home run in 17 appearances, but he has yet to go back-to-back starts without giving one up. That might not bode too well for his next scheduled start, which is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday at home against the Rangers.

Gives up one run in no-decision Hendricks allowed one run on five hits and struck out five without walking a batter over five innings in a no-decision versus the Nationals on Saturday.
Impact Hendricks was sharp the first two times through the order, but CJ Abrams took him deep for a fifth-inning solo shot. Hendricks was pulled at 74 pitches (56 strikes), leaving with the game tied at 1-1. He had mixed results in June, allowing 13 runs (10 earned) with a 21:5 K:BB over 28 innings across his five starts during the month. That's still better than his season-long marks, which are now at a 4.66 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 60:23 K:BB through 87 innings over 16 starts. Hendricks' next start is lined up to be at Toronto.

Takes no-decision against Houston Hendricks didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Astros, allowing five runs (three earned) on eight hits and one walk over five-plus innings. He struck out two.
Impact Hendricks didn't allow a run in the first four innings of Sunday's start, but he got into trouble in the fifth by yielding a pair of homers as part of a four-run frame for the Astros. In his last five outings, Hendricks has allowed 16 runs (13 earned) to go along with a 22:7 K:BB across 28.2 innings. He's slated to face the Nationals in his next start.
