Launches walk-off grand slam
Clemens went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Thursday's 4-3 victory over the Royals.
Impact
Down to his final strike, Clemens launched a Matt Strahm slider over the right-field fence for a grand slam, giving the Twins an improbable 4-3 victory. It was Clemens' 19th homer of the season, matching his career high, and his fifth off a left-handed pitcher. Clemens, who got the start in right field Thursday, has gone 10-for-33 (.303) over his last eight games, boosting his slash line to .244/.300/.493 across 382 plate appearances this year with 53 RBI, 51 runs scored and seven stolen bases.

Two triples in win
Clemens went 3-for-5 with two triples, one RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 11-8 win over the Athletics.
Impact
Clemens has three multi-hit efforts over nine games since the All-Star break, going 9-for-37 (.243) in that span. He's logged five extra-base hits (one double, two triples, two home runs) during that stretch, but his performance is otherwise in line with what he's done all year. The utility man is batting .243 with a .787 OPS, 18 home runs, 49 RBI, 49 runs scored, 19 doubles, five triples and seven stolen bases over 92 contests. Clemens has seen most of his time at second base lately, but he can play in both the infield and outfield -- he started in right field Sunday since Luke Keaschall shifted to center while Byron Buxton slotted in as the designated hitter.

Swats two homers in Saturday's loss
Clemens went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Cubs.
Impact
The 30-year-old slugger supplied all the offense for the Twins by taking Matthew Boyd deep in the second inning and Caleb Thielbar in the seventh -- an impressive feat considering only two of Clemens' previous 16 homers this season had come against left-handed pitchers. He snapped an 0-for-19 skid with the performance, and Clemens sports a .243/.302/.495 slash line through 309 plate appearances while sitting one home run and four RBI shy of tying the career highs he set in those categories just last year.
