Dealt to Jays The Cubs traded Rivera to the Blue Jays on Saturday alongside Yohendrick Pinango in exchange for Nate Pearson, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Impact Rivera has spent all season with Double-A Tennessee, slashing .169/.277/.260 with four homers and 16 RBI across 253 plate appearances. Despite his struggles, the 23-year-old infielder will most likely remain in Double-A with his new organization. He would need to experience a drastic turnaround at the plate before a promotion to Triple-A Buffalo becomes an option.
