Scores twice Tuesday Schoop went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Royals.
Impact Games like this have been few and far between for Schoop most of the year, who is batting just .216 with a .591 OPS. However, the veteran has been much better this month with a .370 average and nine runs scored across 12 games. Schoop has proven himself a capable hitter at the MLB level in the past, so he may be able to sustain some success down the stretch.

Sitting Game 1 on Monday Schoop is not in the starting lineup for the first game of Monday's doubleheader against the Royals.
Impact Schoop will get a breather after he went 12-for-29 with a double, an RBI, seven runs and four stolen bases over the last eight games. Harold Castro will take over at second base and bat third in Game 1.

Steals fifth base Schoop went 1-for-4 with a stolen base Thursday in a 2-1 victory over Chicago.
Impact Schoop singled and stole second in the second inning. It was the third straight game he swiped a bag. The sudden outburst of speed is a bit surprising for the 30-year-old as he's never stolen more than two bases in any previous season. The second baseman has turned it on in July, going 11-for-27 with a double and four stolen bases.

Steals base, scores in win Schoop went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Guardians.
Impact Schoop now has stolen bases in consecutive contests, giving him four steals for the season. That's double his previous career best, so speed has never been a huge part of the veteran's game. Schoop has gotten off to a hot start in July, batting .435 across six games, and the steals are boosting his fantasy value even further.
JULY 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Nabs third steal Schoop went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and two runs Tuesday in the Tigers' 11-4 win over the Guardians.
Impact The stolen base was Schoop's third of the season, establishing a new career-high total in the category for the 10-year veteran. After a rough finish to June, Schoop looked to be in danger of moving into a part-time role, but he's gotten off to a hot start to July to entrench himself as the Tigers' everyday second baseman. Through five games this month, Schoop has gone 9-for-19 with a double, a walk, two stolen bases, five runs and an RBI. He'll man the keystone and bat fifth in Wednesday's series finale.
JULY 6, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Stays hot in nightcap Schoop went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI on Monday in the Tigers' 5-3 win over the Guardians in the second half of a doubleheader.
Impact Schoop was the standout performer of the Tigers' sweep of the twin bill, as he finished the day 6-for-8 with a stolen base, three runs and an RBI while picking up starts in both contests. The big day was much needed for Schoop, who had produced six hits combined over his previous nine contests. He's still sitting on a lowly .207/.238/.323 slash line for the season, but Monday's performance likely bought him some extra security in an everyday role.

Singles four times Schoop went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base in a Game 1 victory during Monday's doubleheader against Cleveland.
Impact Schoop was perfect at the plate Monday with four singles, including a base hit in the seventh followed by his second steal of the year. Since his last game with at least three hits May 30, Schoop has posted a .515 OPS over 28 appearances. He's now slashing .203/.235/.317 with 23 runs scored through 75 games.

Takes seat Saturday Schoop isn't starting Saturday against the Diamondbacks.
Impact Schoop will get a day off after he hit .231 with a homer, two doubles, three runs and three RBI while starting in the last 10 games. Kody Clemens is starting at the keystone and batting eighth.
JUNE 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Goes deep Tuesday Schoop went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox.
Impact Schoop is still hitting just .196 this season, though he's been a bit better lately. The veteran has hits in four straight games and seven of the last eight. Schoop only has one multi-hit performance during this stretch, however, so his batting average isn't climbing very rapidly. Despite the sluggish stats, Schoop is worth keeping an eye on after he hit .278 last season for the Tigers with 22 home runs and 78 RBI.
