Impact Davis walked in the second and singled and stole second in the fourth. In the eighth inning, with two on and one out, Victor Caratini pinch-hit for Davis against Jhoan Duran. Davis is 8-for-24 with four walks and four stolen bases in his last 11 games (nine starts) and has a .365 OBP since joining Milwaukee in mid-June. While he has only one extra-base hit on the season, he's found ways to contribute by reaching base and swiping seven bags while manning center field most days.

Impact Davis walked and stole second with one out in the eighth inning, After Christian Yelich struck out, Davis tried his luck for another steal attempt, only to get caught at third to end the Brewers' rally. That may have been costly, as the Giants scored the go-ahead run in their half of the frame. Davis had notched six consecutive steals before he was caught Saturday. The outfielder has added a .232/.348/.250 slash line with three RBI, eight runs scored and a double through 67 plate appearances, though two of his three multi-hit efforts this year have come in his last six games as he starts to see steadier playing time. Saturday was his sixth straight start in center field, though that position may close up again once Tyrone Taylor (concussion) returns from his rehab assignment after the All-Star break.

Swipes fifth bag Davis went 1-for-3 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in a 6-3 win Tuesday in Minnesota.

Impact In the sixth, Davis drove in a run with a single, stole second base and came around to score on Willy Adames' homer. The stolen base was his fifth of the season and fourth in July. He's started 13 of the last 17 games in center field for Milwaukee, hitting ninth in the lineup each time. The 30-year-old has never had more than 103 big-league plate appearances in a season and has a chance to eclipse that mark this season.

Impact Davis was set to come off the bench Tuesday, but he will join the fray with Christian Yelich scratched due to a sore back. Davis was looking at a decline in playing time with fellow outfielder Hunter Renfroe back in action, but that could change if Yelich misses any further time.

Impact After Hunter Renfroe (calf) landed on the 10-day injured list June 26, Davis appeared to settle into a short-side platoon role in the outfield with Jace Peterson, but both Davis and Peterson look as though they'll have an opportunity to play on a near-everyday basis in the short term. Tyrone Taylor (concussion) joined Renfroe on the injured list Sunday, creating openings in center and right field that will most likely be filled by Davis and Peterson until one of the two injured outfielders is activated. Davis is a strong defender who brings good speed, but a weak bat and a spot at the bottom of the Milwaukee lineup likely won't lend itself to much fantasy value.
