The right-hander produced a 5.31 ERA and 2.19 WHIP with 22 strikeouts over 20.1 innings in 16 appearances out of the bullpen with Triple-A Syracuse prior to being let go. Duplantier will likely remain in the minors for the rest of the 2024 campaign.

Impact Duplantier inked a minor-league deal with the Giants late last week, but the team didn't add him to the 40-man roster. While it's not yet clear whether the right-hander's lat strain will keep him sidelined to begin spring training in 2022, he'll remain in the NL West as part of the Dodgers' 40-man roster.
DECEMBER 8, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Lands minor-league contract Duplantier (lat) signed a minor-league contract with the Giants on Friday.

JUNE 14, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Turns in another rough outing Duplantier (0-3) allowed six runs on six hits over 1.1 innings as he took the loss to the Angels on Friday. He did not strike out nor walk a batter in the effort.
Impact Duplantier has struggled in all four of his starts this season, but none of them were as bad as the one he had Sunday. The Angels piled on two runs in the first off the bat of Max Stassi and then four more in the second before he was pulled after managing to record just one out. The 26-year-old now owns a 13.15 ERA, 2.08 WHIP and a 12:8 K:BB over 13 innings. Things won't get any easier for him as he's projected to make his next start against the Dodgers if he ends up sticking around in the rotation. Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic noted that manager Torey Lovullo was late to the post-game press conference because coaches were discussing the rotation, which could mean Duplantier's days are numbered.

Disastrous fourth leads to loss Duplantier (0-2) lost Tuesday's start against Oakland, allowing four runs on two hits and three walks with four strikeouts in a 5-2 defeat.
Impact Making his third start of 2021, Duplantier breezed through the first three innings before allowing the first four batters of the fourth to reach base and being removed. Reliver Alex Young allowed all three inherited runners to score, leading to an unpleasant line for Duplantier despite being excellent through three frames. He's tentatively slated to pitch Monday in San Francisco but won't stick in the rotation once more proven hurlers return from the IL unless his performance drastically improves.
