Lands on 60-day IL The Giants placed Peguero on the 60-day injured list Monday due to a left hamstring strain, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Impact Peguero strained his left hamstring during the eighth inning of Sunday's win over the Rockies. The injury is severe enough for Peguero to go straight onto the 60-day IL, which means the earliest he's eligible to be reinstated is late July. Wilkin Ramos was called up from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move.

Dealing with hamstring injury Peguero suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's 19-6 win over the Rockies, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Impact Peguero pitched one-third of an inning before sustaining the injury in the bottom of the eighth. The right-hander missed the entire first month of the season while recovering from a Grade 2 hamstring strain that he suffered during spring training, and he could be headed for another stint on the injured list.

The right-hander got Willi Castro to fly out to open the frame, but he then pulled up lame while trying to field an infield single off the bat of Tyler Freeman in the following at-bat. It's unclear what injury Peguero may be dealing with, but JT Brubaker replaced him on the mound versus Colorado.

Picks up hold Friday Peguero earned a hold in Friday's 8-6 defeat to the Rockies, allowing one hit and striking out one across two-thirds of a scoreless inning.

Impact After giving up two earned runs while recording just one out in Monday's loss to Arizona, Peguero bounced back Friday. The right-hander entered in the sixth inning and surrendered a double to the first batter he faced, though he retired the next two hitters before being pulled. He threw nine of his 13 pitches for strikes in the brief appearance. The 29-year-old now owns a 2.70 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 4:3 K:BB across 10 innings in 10 outings this season.

Returns to Giants bullpen The Giants reinstated (hamstring) from the injured list Tuesday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Impact Peguero has been on the injured list since the beginning of the season due to a Grade 2 hamstring strain he suffered during spring training. He started up a rehab assignment at Triple-A Sacramento on April 7 and will now return to the Giants after posting a 4.82 ERA and 0.86 WHIP through 9.1 frames in the minors. The 29-year-old righty held his own in the big leagues last season, posting a 2.42 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over 22.1 innings, and he'll likely work in a setup or middle-relief role with San Francisco.
