Granted release from COL Yan requested and was granted his release from his minor-league contract with the Rockies on Sunday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Impact Yan signed a minor-league deal with the Rockies in the offseason, posting an inflated 7.28 ERA and 1.88 WHIP with 45 punchouts over 29.2 innings in 27 appearances, including a start, with Triple-A Albuquerque this year. The 28-year-old has yet to make his major-league debut and he'll look to find another opportunity elsewhere.

Signs with Colorado as NRI The Rockies signed Yan to a minor-league contract Dec. 20 that includes an invitation to spring training.

Impact Yan, 28, spent the 2024 season in Japan with the Saitama Seibu Lions, collecting a 4.89 ERA and 49:26 K:BB over 42.1 innings. The lefty reliever has struck out 284 but also walked 153 over 204.2 innings during his time in the minors.
